Help on level 9-3 Great game but boy am I behind on normal level. 9-3 has me beat. Can defend the bomb until the last big creature comes at me with a load of smaller ones and wipes my team out in quick succession. Any tips would be welcome Cheers
It's going to be fun playing against teams of Tier 4 Marines with max health, 100% critical and 100% Accuracy
For that mission, I was lucky and had the T4 SW Longfang Ancient equipped with a plasma gun that I could overcharge (while using the ability that lets you carry over AP from a previous turn). Combine that with the deadeye ability that gives you 100% accuracy for a turn and the bonus ability that gives you crit on large creatures, and it is a great way to maul any large creature. I also used a T3 Ultramarine champion with a Tier 3 grav gun. With 5 or 6 AP depending on positioning, you can slow down the assault of all the pesky smaller creatures and give your other boys enough time to eliminate them. I also find an auspex handy when you need to have a massive kill turn to keep your team alive. Hope that helps.
What kind of team are you running, Winko? Do you have any slots that are still unlocked in your squad? Like Kharkov says, I use a devastator with an overcharged plasma to deal big damage against the high HP creatures, and go after the lesser guys with the other marines. Do you have any damage mitigation gear? Any gear to increase your crit percentage? What kind of weapons are you using?
Same! Still running with my UM team in heroic and relying on that band of brothers ability. Only got the 2 Tier IV UMs and only a tier II plasma cannon! Really have to choose my moments to use those additional crit seals.
You'll get better gear simply by going through the game. For example, the Tier III plasma cannon drops like prizes in a happy meal on Act II, map 4. And it's one of the quickest missions to finish. The Tier IV plasma cannon is supposed to drop on Act VIII Map 3, but I haven't gotten there, yet.
Help on level Level 9-3 Not sure if the image has uploaded but I have a level 3 space wolf devastator with a level 2 heavy Bolter. Though as suggested I may try him with my level 3 plasma canon. A level 3 tactical and my others are all level 2. Nearly all slots unlocked but mostly have grenades being used at the moment Going to try more crit percentage gear on the next run as r;Kidd mentioned. I am still waiting for a T4 marine though !!!
Level 9-3 Just want to say a big thank you to R:Kidd and KHARKOV . just listened to their advice about plasma and crit damage items and gave my devastator a triplex alpha level 3 plasma and also stocked up with crit damage wargear And finished the level much easier. Totally addicted to this game and now to go head long into the last level!!! Hoping Rodeo games release some IAP new levels Thanks , winko
I totally agree. Exploiting is all fun and games until it's leaked into multiplayer. I don't think I've ever exploited in a game to be honest, I'm to lazy. Actually I think I've used my iPhone clock to ajust timers in old school f2p single player games lol. But yeah, once pvp is introduced the game changes. The two options of " I grinded for my badass team / I payed and got lucky with some sweet stuff " should only exist. Hence why all multiplayer games have live server checks for most games. / banhammer if you exploit. You only need a few cheaters to completely ruin an online competitive community. I'm sure rodeo knows what's up.
How will you tell who grinded for their bad ass team and who cheated? When you're stuck playing Birth's team (possible world's first to be heroic outside of Rodeo ) and his players are 50 levels higher than you with max stats, is he a cheater? Or when you come toe to toe with RodeoMatthew and his level 120 Marines... Is he a cheater? Or the guy who bought the game, hacked a bunch of packs for T4 Marines and then maxed his xp, how will you know he is a cheater? I'm not sure how any of us would know.... Unless you notice they have a million HP.... Or hacked items.... Otherwise, who's gonna be the wiser?
Has anyone from Rodeo detailed how Multiplayer will work? Maybe we start with fixed level marines from our earned loot or even draft them from a random selection. I am not a big player of multiplayer games, so maybe I am naive here, but I am having loads of fun on the campaign so far, and seeing how much debate this game is generating
No, all speculation at this point. Matt has recently come out and categorically said that any XP expoliting will not impact multiplayer and mentioned in a much earlier post that multiplayer would be "balanced totally differently". I think everyone needs to calm down and wait till we get some more info on the mechanics before getting all wound up
Because you are a wise man Lickzy, looking to insure yourself against all future possibilities..? (and the game is great)
That or a total moron with nothing to be gained by playing anymore until PVP comes out. There is nothing else for me to unlock at this point.
Stats from packs Stats from packs A lot of you have heard most of this already but thought some might like an update. Number of packs opened: 510 (equivalent of £458.83) Number of T4 marines: 39 (7.65% chance of getting a T4 in a pack) Number of T4 items found: 72 (14.12% chance of getting a T4 item in a PACK as you get two items [hence double that of a marine]) Marines found: (percentage values are total percentage chance when opening packs, not percentage of marines found) Ultramarines Assault---7----1.37% Tac-------1----0.20% Dev-------0----0.00% Medic----NA-----NA Space Wolves Assault--16----3.14% Tac-------1----0.20% Dev-------6----1.18% Medic----NA-----NA Blood Angels Assault---4----0.78% Tac-------3----0.59% Dev-------0----0.00% Medic----1-----0.20% Included a screenshot of my codex*. *IMPORTANT - it didn't take 510 packs to get the codex to this, I probably haven't had anything new after approx 250packs.
