I'm sure I've made errors but this should give a rough idea. I was curious myself so I did a bit of math. Not ever replaying a mission (really unlikely) by the time you comple the game at heroic (which I think just a low percentage of people will do) one would have earned: 27 packs (9 per campaign) = 27 marines and 54 items 36x3= 108 items cards Also you get RP points: 6x4x9= 216 normal 10x4x9= 360 veteran 15x4x9= 735 heroic For a total of 1311 points, which grant you another 13 packs (13 marines and 26 items). So never selling anything (unlikely) you will draw this in a 'clean playthrough' (which is of course just rethoric, no one would play like that): 40 marines 188 items In the codex there are: 15 16 16 = 47 marines 14 21 9 21 21 12 8 9 4 23 5 4 = 151 items (If I didn't make errors that is). Not ever getting any dupes (unlikely, but it is where I wish, if thery feel it as a necessity, Rodeo could work the code) getting all the items is possible, all the marines is impossible. We really do not know how the marines likability percentages are and how they vary during campaigns so it's all on paper...getting higher percentage of higher tier marines is ok in my book, because I won't look for tier 1 assault space wolves if I already have a Lone Wolf. Seeing the real codex unlocked by people (mine included despite the tier 4 marines evade me since ages) the situation looks to me better than the whole discussion seems to imply. And all this was without even considering buying packs. I have absolutely no clue if multiplayer grants you anything (just playing or winning or per kill or whatever); if it does that changes the scenario a lot.
Enemies moving...bug Veteran level 2-3 I'm in act 2, playing the mission where you have to go in and get the brain sample from the Hive mind. This is the one with the two Hive guards that use the impaler weapon on you for the first time. On turn one I sent in one guy straight into the temple and immediately saw two of those guys, far back in the temple. Now, the game is frozen and they won't move or shoot me. Already tried the close app, pinch two fingers fix, multiple times, but can only get the guard on the left side of the screen to shoot my marine. The other guard won't move.. Game remains locked... Suggestions!?
I'm just starting to dig into the game. Question, when you move your guys how can you in advance tell how many 'action points' you're going to use?
3 Ultramarine Honour Guard 3 Lone Wolves 3 Long Fang Ancients 1 Stern Guard 1 Sanguinary Guard 1 Master of Relics So I'm missing the Tyrannic War vet, Sang priest and Wolf Guard
Each marine has 4 AP (without modifiers)...they are dots you see in the bottom row (empty dots are the spent AP). Moving 1 adjacent square takes 1 AP. Firing with weapons but the heavy ones costs 1 AP (heavy takes 2, some 3). Going into overwatch costs 1 AP (you can't go in OW with just 1 AP remaining becaus you wouldn't have any remaining AP to shoot afterwards).
Did the same with 265 packs. Number of t4 marines = 20 (7.55% probability) Number of t4 items = 41 (7.74% prob per pack) Missing master of relics (um heavy)
Out of interest, if you had paid £150 for those packs and hadn't received enough tier 4 marines to build your ideal squad, would you be ok with that?
As long as you have AP. If you just started you will likely have just 4 AP so you will move at max 4 squares. But you will earn more AP with skills and items.
I'm on an iPhone 6. You just haven't played enough. After completing Heroic, most of my items are T4 and T3. This is not about good housekeeping vs bad, the game inventory just lags like hell beyond a certain point and it needs a solution.
So,the Plasma grenade has a better chance for crit damage but having much less base damage makes it in my eyes not looking better than the grenade with 450 base damage. At the end it's still just a 25% chance for crit.Am i missing something?
Nope, you aren't missing anything. I don't think it is as good as the Super Krak (I also found that none of the damage dealing grenades fit in my loadout as I progressed through Heroic and I ended up subbing them out). I did continue to use 2 TIer 3 Nova Grenades though.
I've been playing the game for about 2.5 weeks. I'm missing 2 marines and 7 items out of 222 items. I haven't bought any IAP at all. I think that's pretty telling for how lenient the drop rate is. The ability to get 4 packs an hour is extremely generous. Yes I have 6 Sternguard and no Tyrannic War Vet, but that's just assuming that the drop rate for all Tier 4 is equal. Why should it be equal? Master of Relics is the best T4 marine currently so it stands to reason the chances of getting him are lower. Have some of you guys just started playing iPhone games? It's interesting to see the outrage and not being able to get 100% items when the game is only 3 weeks old. How much money and time do you think it takes to get every card in Hearthstone? How much money and time to max a base in Clash of Clans (I played nonstop for 2 years in a top 100 clan and my base was not maxed)? Maybe the outrage is that people feel they paid $$ for the game and need more $$ to buy packs. Personally I don't see any problem with this as I paid $5 for 40+ hours of fun content and I haven't needed to pay IAP to get more gear. If there is a bug with identical packs that is certainly a problem and should be investigated diligently. That would be easy for Rodeo to do by themselves by using the current game code to purchase 10000 packs and see how often there are duplicate packs. But again - the GAME IS 3 WEEKS OLD. I think the completionists need to take a breath and slow down.
You have clearly been very lucky with your marine drops then. I have also been playing for 3 weeks. I have completed the game on Heroic. I have spent £30 on IAPs. I am missing 6 Tier 4 marines (and have only pulled 5 in total, 2 were dupes). My frustration comes from the fact that my pulls don't seem fair when compared to what you've experienced. Yes, I get that it's RNG and RNG can either be a massive **** or your best friend, but that doesn't make me feel any better. For me it is absolutely not about being a completionist, I couldn't give a stuff about collecting every bolt gun or piece of wargear etc. What would be nice is that by the time you complete a game like this on all difficulties, you should have at least unlocked all the marines. (Clash of Clans and Hearthstone are not necessarily fair comparisons imo, because they don't have a defined single player mode with an end point). That being said, if you look at some of the Hearthstone expansions (I haven't played for a while so this might not be true anymore) but you were guaranteed to unlock all of the new cards when you played through the "quest mode" for stuff like the Naxxaramas bit. I can see that Rodeo don't want people to get everything all at once. They want the game to have longevity, but I don't think that making it frustratingly hard (and random!!!!) to get existing content is the way to do it. As others have said, I think that more specific IAPs are the way to go if they stick with the IAP model. I'd much rather have spent that £30 on IAP when there is some element of a guarantee from packs. (beyond some poxy tier 2 minimum item - once you've completed the game on normal mode these are redundant in any event). Personally, as with all iPhone games, I would rather just pay an amount, up front, and then actually get the whole game for that money. Rather than being strung along by the Forces of Chaos or whoever's hand is stitching me up on pack opening!
@rodeomatthew - just wondering, what sets the rng for each person? I swear that I'm either set on a loop that means I can't find the last few cards or the chance of getting these is beyond tiny. If it's something as simple as reinstalling the game or changing the time on my phone..I can do that
