Re- grinding, there seem to be certain levels that net more XP (due to large amount of enemies to kill). I repeatedly play missions like act 1 "infection"- it's a very short level and often nets around 2k XP per marine. It hardly ever hangs and is usually recoverable when it does. I use these lower levels to grind, spend XP on extra slots, traits and level up etc, then attempt the next high level mission with low XP on all marines so if it crashes I don't lose much...then back to grinding. Infection is good, I also like act 2 "regroup" - loads of enemies for XP and it looks damn beautiful.
I think you're assuming too much and your faith in what rodeo will do is unfounded. In fact I'm sure Matt said what their plans are and sure there's no mention of card swapping. And as for trade skills...so far away from what warhammer 40k is that I doubt it's even a consideration.
I sadly have to report, that the "stuck on enemy turn bug" is still very real. I am again stuck on the "enemy is moving...." message, which will stay there forever, until i quit the mission over the menu icon in the top right corner. Moving the camera while entering the mission after force quitting it does not help. This bug has happened to me three times now. I am reluctant to quit the mission again and losing all my experience. I hope this will be fixed soon. I need to play.... This game is soo good. I wish rodeo would have made the new digital space hulk game. Although I like the version full control studio created (especially ascension, which is PC only), I imagine that space hulk with the style and flow of rodeo games might actually be more fun AND playable on pad and small devices. I love to have my Marine Squad in my pocket...
I'm not sure if you are answering to me, but trading is something I never asked and I even stated that I think it will never come as well. Dunno what you mean with card swapping (buying card with RP? I think it won't come either, but among the things I've read is the easier one...but requires too much IMHO for the actual plans about the game). As for faith in Rodeo...well yes I have faith in them. I loved Hunters 2, WHQ and now Deathwatch...so yeah...I think they earned the benefit of the doubt at the very least from me.
Is everyone getting the repeat pack problem cause I've ground loads and bought plenty and haven't seen anything to make me think that. Not disputing it just haven't seen it. Re multiplayer, every question I've asked Matt has had a reply saying the mechanics aren't the same. At this point for all we know it could be a choice of t1 marines with no perks.
Personally I do not remember getting the very same packs consecutively, I do have a ton of duplicates tough (I started to notice since I completed normal as I stopped selling stuff) I keep unlocking (same with marines). I actually have played multiplayer. Granted I won't ever say anything even under torture (plus has been a while so they could have changed everything) this I can say: people who think the game is pay2win are utterly wrong.
I did get two duplicate packs in a row, a T1 tactical space wolf, grav gun and the oath of vengeance thingy didnt really mind though just sold the marines and their gear and the two grav guns Still loving this game, ran into the carnifex yesterday for the first time on veteran, it had that stun someone regen health ability, think it was cit immune as well it wasn't pleasant
For the fellow that posted his system to grind (exploit) exp.. you do know there will be a multi player mode for this game? Your level 55+ team ver those of us that have done the more mind numbing grind with our level 35 marines will not beable to compete with players that have done the same thing you did.
So get on board me hearties. I posted the method to allow precisely that. Actually one of the fellows in another post claimed that multiplayer uses different mechanics to the normal game specifically to control for such things. I really hope this is the case. As for the "it's an unfair advantage" claim... Are you suggesting that it's OK for a "mind numbing grind" to confer an advantage to those willing and able to undertake it over those who are not? I would disagree with that.
I can't choose between this or cosmonatica. The only thing stopping me from picking this, is in not sure if you can change the viewpoint from top to the side. Can anyone tell me?
The crit immunity plus 30% regen is really NASTY. If you can't get rid of him in 1 turn (or 2 with stun grenade) he will tear the squad apart. I know he did with mine for sure. It's an encounter you won't easily forget
You can change the view to a kind of 3/4 view, you're not head on but it's close. Edit: the level of zoom is nice too
Since I'm making a habit of sharing my questionable practices... If you hard close the game as soon as the mob spawns and then reload it, the affix is rolled anew. Swap 30% regen and crit immune for AOE attack? Yes please!
You can tilt the camera and zoom in if you want. The official gameplay video in the AppStore can help too. A screenshot I just took with a different tilt/zoom levels from birdview, just to give you an idea.
