A couple of days ago I bought 10 card packs. Luckily I haven't found any duplicate packs, but my draws have been far worse than pre-patch Many packs (4-5) contained only a T2 item or marine; the other 2 cards were T1 Maybe I was just too lucky with my first draws...
I don't know. I don't understand what stacks and what doesn't. So far, it appears from other people's comments that just about everything stacks. But I don't know if that's true when it's gear that's the same. I feel quite confident the First Company Relic stackes with other damage bonuses. And I know the 40% damage -10% accuracy stacks. Edit - I should say that the reason I don't know if it stacks or not is I can't read the extremely fast red numbers that fly away when damage is done on my iPhone 6+, so I don't know how much damage my shots are doing except to look at hit points before and after the shots hit.
yep,i have a problem reading the numbers as well.I tried it now and it seem to stack. At least from the list of buffs at the bottom of the screen.
That's helpful. On Heroic, the carnifex on Act 9 map 4 is crit immune with 45k hit points, allegedly. I haven't faced it, yet. That's just going by comments on this thread. A stacking relic would be handy, although that would take up two slots for one shot. Still, in that instance it would be worth it.
Hehe, can't do that. I hate ITunes so much I never bothered to connect this device to it. I think it'll wipe the iPad if I download iTunes and plug the device in now. The hang thing happens occasionally to me but not enough to have lost much. Just a general suggestion really but I can see it might not be ideal for various reasons. Thanks though.
Uh...that's not how iTunes works. I'm not saying you have to connect your device to it, but it doesn't just automatically wipe your device when you connect to it. Otherwise how would any of us connect a device to iTunes for the first time? Don't think I'm giving you some kind of sales pitch. iTunes is clunky as all get out, and a major hole in Apple's ecosystem, the way they've made it a do everything piece of software. But you're not going to wipe out your device downloading iTunes and then connecting your device to it.
Oh great. I thought it did. Had horrible problems years ago with an IPod - it kept synching and wiping stuff all the time...I thought for "security" it would wipe a device with anything on it the first time you connected to a new computer. Sorry don't want to start a big iTunes discussion. I'm sure it's a lot better these days...probably... Oh hang on you mean just copy the folder from the iPad (ie no need for iTunes)?
No. You'll need to use iTunes. Apple in all their walled garden omnipotence doesn't really like anyone missing with the directory except inside iTunes, where they can limit it to specific permissable ways. Again, it's clunky as all get out, so I'm not going to defend it, and yes, I think it's wise not to degenerate into an iTunes discussion. I'm just saying it's not going to wipe your device, unless you give it the instruction to "restore" it. Then, yes, it's going to wipe the device. So don't do that without backing up first.
Re stacking, RodeoMatt said waaaay back itt that certain things piped so 1st item would give its % bonus = 1st amount then the 2nd gives its % bonus to that new amount, 3 if you had them for the grand total. But(!) I haven't checked back so not sure on the specific example.
I held off on getting this game until the patch came out, but now I see there are still some issues with the new version. For those that have the game, do you recommend prospective buyers to wait for the next version?
@RodeoMatthew and HazeTi Can you please advise the community of when they should stop buying Packs? I will post momentarily 3 packs that I have opened over the past 24 hours with screenshot time stamps that are identical to packs that I opened yesterday . More specifically, when does the RNG start looping and you start opening the exact same packs again? 60 packs? 100 packs? This is extremely unfair and underhanded that non observant players will continuously throw money at this game, hoping to fill out their codex, only for it to be ABSOLUTELY impossible in the majority of situations. Why should I bother grinding RP or spending real money when I can only ever get the EXACT same cards?
We are being ripped off As I articulated earlier, I would like to know at what point does the RNG start looping and forcing you to get the exact same cards again and again. I remember Matt saying its nearly impossible to open identical packs of cards... See below and note the time stamps (Photos taken from iPad mini retina playing with patch 1.1)
I would wait until all the bugs are ironed out, especially if you wish to purchase IAPs that are not working properly
I would recommend buying the game immediately and playing through on normal mode. You will have absolutely no need for any IAPs at this point and this will give you a real flavour of the game. By the time you're done, you will either be totally hooked and (like me) have no qualms about buying some packs to a) support the devs and b) boost your squad, or you won't like the game (I feel this is unlikely...but I'm probably biased because I think it's great).
That being said I agree with Lickzy to a certain extent in that packs are the one area that are beginning to frustrate me. When I started I had every intention of playing Space Wolves (as there were no Dark Angels - huge oversight imo, they are clearly the best). However, I feel I have been forced into a particular play style because of my pack draws and it's Ultramarines all the way at the moment. Where I disagree with Lickzy is that he is pulling lots of Lone Wolves and I'm just racking up Tier 2 Blood Angels...
