What country are you checking from? I wonder if that's why the "App Info" above still says "App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store." ? Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #4 Asp, Jul 3, 2020 I’m confused. How does elements being stronger/weaker against others affect the match three gameplay? What are the three diamonds under the level numbers? Porpoise Studios Member Jul 3, 2020 8 1 3 Male Founder - Porpoise Studios Los Angeles, CA https://porpoisestudios.com #5 Porpoise Studios, Jul 3, 2020 Some of it is in the later tutorials as you play the levels, but I can probably do a better job improving the tutorials. The elements come into play in 3 ways: Level objectives & opponents. Certain opponents will have an element. For example, fire is weak against water. So in order to pass the level you have to get water essences to defeat the fire. You get bonus points for essences of the same type of the character you pick. So picking Wylie (who's a water element type), blue water essences are worth more Charging the character's special ability depends on their element type. The 3 diamonds represent whether you passed the easy/medium/hard settings for that level. Thanks! Asp likes this. Sadly, this has one. If you release a premium version along with the free(lol) version, I would gladly purchase it. Porpoise Studios Member Jul 3, 2020 8 1 3 Male Founder - Porpoise Studios Los Angeles, CA https://porpoisestudios.com #7 Porpoise Studios, Jul 3, 2020 Thanks for the feedback. I was imitating other similar puzzle games that all have the concept of energy, hearts, etc... Would it be better to tweak it from energy -> hearts and hearts are only taken away if you fail a level? Or you're saying just charge some money for it to remove the energy/hearts system completely. How much would be reasonable for you to pay for a game like this? Curious what other players & developers here think about the energy/hearts system for a puzzle game, and what has worked for you? Thanks! Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #8 Jstorm, Jul 3, 2020 Option2. Hard to tell the price since I don’t know how much content is in the game, but puzzle games are usually between $3-5. I despise those games with a stamina system since it’s ignoring the player’s flow of gameplay. Same for ads between gameplays. Also I take those free/stamina/ads as signs of developer’s lack of confidence with their games. My view is that such developers are not sure themselves if their game is worthy to be purchased by players. (In my research I've only seen free-to-play and supported by ads and in-app-purchases) Thanks! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #10 anthony78, Jul 4, 2020 Best example is Hero Emblems. Amazing match 3 RPG free of all the F2P garbage that I can’t stand. There’s no indication what the objectives are beforehand so I use Wylie Water Wargh who’s levelled up a few times. After pressing ‘play’ I’m then told to collect 50 fire elements. Obviously Wynnie Wargh is a better choice with her ability to convert elements to fire, but there’s no way change now. I would rather have objective information available before Wargh selection. And clicking on a separate "info" button is cumbersome. To be honest, I ran out of room to put the info on that screen . Maybe can come up with another way to add it within the stage info area...
