Touch controls work well, game looks great, and it runs super smooth, at least it does on my iPhone 150 pro. The game is free and has an incredible amount of content. Sure there are iaps but literally none of them are needed, you just have to grind missions to get the iaps with in-game currency. Absolutely great game and a perfect port. I’ll give it a try with touch controls and see if I can figure it out. Solid game, though. I wish it had more graphic controls (would love to play at 60 FPS), but it’s a pretty amazing port. solarnya likes this. Just aim at enemies. agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,698 221 63 #8 agreen437, Feb 22, 2024 Can you play this game for free without using the in app purchases? naghihimutuc likes this. agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,698 221 63 #9 agreen437, Feb 22, 2024 Was thinking of getting it but never seem to go for freemium anymore because of the in app purchases squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,702 1,228 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #10 squarezero, Feb 22, 2024 In answer to your first question — yes, you can. This is a FTP console/PC game, so the IAPs are more of the season pass/cosmetic variety. But you can certainly spend money if you want to. naghihimutuc likes this. houseofg Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Oct 1, 2013 1,611 82 48 #11 houseofg, Feb 23, 2024 Thanks for coming back from the future to leave a review! Honestly though, I think there’s just so much content in the game, I think it was designed to be a grind. I played before on a PC years ago. I was waiting for a week for a couple of new frames to be put together I decided to try some new gameplay modes, played with other people and joined a clan during the wait which was a lot of fun. The game has a lot of densely and beautifully written lore it occupied my time a lot more than I could’ve imagined (it blew my mind when the game finally explained why the players were called Tenno and what the warframes are, exactly). I suppose it was like this for people who were enamored with the early days of WoW, and I’m glad DE has been consistent with their presentations and very pro-player design. …of course TenCent acquired the company. It’s been pretty ok so far so I guess they’re being left alone for now. Again, if you’re worried about getting prime variants of the warframes, just keep playing the game. You’re bound to encounter prime blueprints (both for weapons and frames), you’re going to get curious, you’re going to check the wikis, and then you’ll check out the warframe.marketplace website. That’s a third-party site where you can buy and sell prime parts and items for platinum. I’ve assembled my fair share of prime stuff with help from that site.
