You read that title right. As far as I’m aware they never made a thread for the game but now seemed the time as it could bring the attention of the TA Staff to the game. I made this because I was unsure what had happened to this since I hadn’t seen anything since the TA announcement post, so I looked up the game, and lo and behold, on the Steam page was a post announced the game was coming in October. Here’s the page for anyone who wants to see for certain: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2338990/Warbits/ If you see this TA staff, please write an article so people who don’t go on forums can find out the great news!
Is it coming to iOS ? Can’t see anything on that page. Mentions macOS but those games don’t get much attention here at all
Thanks for posting this! They emailed about this and I've been meaning to post about it. It will be on PC and mobile with cross-platform play between them. Mobile beta should be happening next month and I believe all versions launch simultaneously in October. Here's a trailer. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
There is a line at the bottom which mentions cross platform between Windows, Mac and Mobile, so yeah it definitely seems to be simultaneous to me too. Also doesn’t look like Apple Arcade so it’s gonna be weird having a game called “(X)+” not on the service.
I'm actually curious if Apple will let this name fly. Before there were + games on AA, Zach Gage released a Spelltower remake called Spelltower+. Then when AA introduced its version of + games, that Spelltower+ was renamed to just Spelltower, the original Spelltower was renamed Spelltower Classic (now removed), and the new AA version adopted the Spelltower+ name. Quite the confusing ride. Other than that example though I'm not aware of any other games that have a + at the end and I could see Apple taking issue with that since it's sort of an AA thing now.
Well, I’m glad I’m not going barmy. I do indeed have a TestFlight for this and a new build just went out. I’ll put some time into it later in the week. Edit: with regard to the name, it goes by “Warbits Plus”.
