Thanks for the kind words, folks! Sorry seven, no release date set but we're working as hard as we can. We've made a lot of progress the last few months. Here's some visual updates. I recently went through and redid all the terrain and structure art. and a new app icon to go along with everything.
Art Style I can't get over the general style of this game - it looks amazing. Quick scan of the other posts seems to imply paid up front. Hope so, I'll be grabbing it right when it comes out if so.
@Peter_fls - Paid app is indeed the plan at the moment. @Gafferman - We want it out the door as much as everyone else, but 2014 isn't gonna happen, sorry! In other news we just announced our Item Shop! Destroying enemy units will earn you charges, which you can spend on items that will supercharge your army until your next turn. Here's a few mockups of it in action.
P2w I thought you were different riskylabs.. IF YOU are going to make your item shop then this will end up no better than every other pay 2 win app. Some of us don't have money like that to spend every time we want to. And I really want to (trust me). But noone will buy this, i mean maybe the rich kid that can afford it but im just trying to give solid advice. PLEASE listen to your fans!!
Sounds like Item Shop is a game mechanic rather than a P2W feature. Maybe RiskyLabs should change the name "Item Shop" so people won't get a wrong initial impression.
I'm glad to have helped! I found some more info on this game on a site called tigsource, they were updating that more often than this one. I think it's been deserted. Their Twitter page gets updated every now and then also.
Their latest tweet was a week ago. So it's still alive. I'm just playing commander of steel. Somewhat soulless, but the advance wars gameplay works really well on touch screen. Warbits has personality, together with the approved mechanics this can't fail.
I am so jazzed for this! Saw on their Twitter that they seem to be doing a lot of testing, which is good! Balance and good AI make Advance Wars a classic. Can't wait, Risky!
