Good stuff! 1. We're thinking about an idea for automatic mineral collection 2. Actually you do shoot with 2x accuracy when manually shooting, which allows you to better hit long ranged units... 3. We may look at changing the token to an ad... 4. Currently bosses are supposed to be the "additional token collection mechanic", but we may look at some other options!
Each goal (you can see your next goal in the upgrade screen) gives you 2 tokens. So I believe your next tokens will come once you hit level 10.
I think the perk in the shop that lets you start at a later and later level is kinda problematic actually. You seem to earn significantly more by actively running a level than by relying on the perk to give you starting money. I start at L121 now, and the game gives me $6.2m to start. Just actively playing from L121 to L124 generates another $6.2. However, if i bought the next perk to start at L126, i'd probably only start with $6.5m-ish. Just something I figured I should point out. It actually hampers more than helps if you cut it too close.
I'll check it out to make sure there isn't a bug or something, but it actually simulates each skipped level behind the scenes to give you the exact money you would've earned had you played it! The only thing you are missing out on is collecting mineral orbs. Also keep in mind that the income per level goes up exponentially... so each new level will indeed give a significantly larger amount than the last.
I've been playing non-stop since I downloaded it. Spent $20 too on the iap - was too addicting. There's actually someone on the first couple pages who was level mid-200s (I'm only 121). Gamecenter also says someone is in the 400s.
I did describe in my last post that I'm stuck with a 15 minites timer and without a next generation continue button after dying more times. And you write that i can always keep on playing and that i should hit the Next gen button. How? I really dont get it. On my screen there is only a buy tokens button after i have died. No other option. And a damn timer. I would pay to remove this mechanic. I understand that you try to make an F2P game, but for me this is a game breaker.
Could you let us know what level and generation you're on? The way its currently set up is that every 2x you go Next Generation, it increases the "required level to next gen" by 1. So for ex generation 1 (a player just starting off) requires getting to level 5. A generation 3 player requires reaching level 6, a Generation 5 player must reach Level 7, etc. This is to prevent an exploit where you could get the Head Start to level 5 and then just keep going Next Generation forever without even playing. We tried to set this at an interval we were hoping players would never get into a scenario like you're describing... in theory each generation should give you enough extra damage to allow you to progress at least one more level (or even just a few more waves) - but again, seems like we were wrong on that. Again, the timers are supposed to exist in tandem with being able to go Next Generation at any time, so players (like you) getting into a scenario otherwise isn't a problem with the timer itself per se, but with the game structure - we're going to look at ways to fix that up in the first update!
This is my screenshot after my first death on regen. 3. No way to continue without paying or waiting. The screenshot was taken after the timer expired, but you can see I had no other options. So timers will keep you waiting to play.
Im generation 11 and cant get anymore past level 9-8. somehow i did it once higher but whatever i try it doesnt work anymore. Im sorry i cant upload the screenshot cause its somehow crashes safari or the toucharcade app. So im stuck in this loop with the screen sobriquet did post before. Just with a timer starting with 13 mins after 3 deaths. As said before id love to pay for the perks and your game but i wont pay for something that is giving me timeouts instead of the possibility to try a new aproach or tactic.
Right... as I mentioned before we just didn't come across the scenario where players wouldn't be able to progress past these levels given their generation in beta or in our own playtests... I think I've got a good solution for the problem though, so hopefully we can roll out an update quickly!
There are some serious hardcore iOS gamers in here, lol - I've spent more consecutive minutes on this game than any other I can recall in a long time and I'm only on Lvl 11 while some are on 120+?? lol So, any proven strategies? I can't tell if it's better to unlock as many options as become available and upgrade them evenly across the board or if I should focus on 2 or 3 things at a time to get them upgraded as high as possible before unlocking a couple more. Or if it's better to focus on upgrading damage for each before tupgrading their defense, etc. I love the heck out of Foursaken games but still seems like no matter how much IAP I put in, strategy still eludes me and I get nowhere fast, lol.
Finally i got the screenshot. This is after 4 deaths now. Timer started on 31mins. Im sorry. I really like this game. Maybe im just bad at this game.
Strategy... hmm... What I did was on the self page, only invest in the primary machine gun and health/armor - ignored everything else. On the next page, focused on the gun towers initially, and then all the allies afterward. Now I'm at the point where I just grab all the allies and towers and squads, and then level their attacks up to 10-50 depending on which (10 for the turtle, 50 for the gun tower and armor). And then everything else gets invested into health. General strategy to not die seems to be to place as many allies and other targets on the field as you can, so that the majority of attacks are deflected to them. The downside of my strategy was that due to the heavy investment in everything, i sacrifice a lot of health. As a result, if i get hit, i die. Been trying to remedy that now that I have those done, by my health is still ~20 levels below my level.
Doesn't matter whether you're good or bad at the game We missed a few of these scenarios that players can get themselves into and that's on us - already have a solution that we'll be rolling out in the first update! These situations just didn't come up in beta or our testing at all >_< Again, the intention is that a player should pretty much never be in a situation where they have a timer up and cannot go to the next generation. Oops, I meant you have to complete level 5 at gen 1, level 6 at gen 3, etc...
My tactic is reach as far as i can and them get out, turn off the game and come back later to collect money to upgrade. Don't do this right after you choose next generation because, low level will give really little money xD I guess, when we offline, the game will still shoot stuff but we cannot die and dont need to wait the timer I'm at Gen7 now and saving 20k for the sparrow squadron
Wow! I played too much that my wifie got mad at me... Is there any way to direct the mortar fire. This toy is great fun! Bought the perm $-doubler to show my support. Keep up to good work!
