I don't think there's anything too wrong with losing out on the starter money. It's just math at the end anyways. Expenses to upgrade go up pretty steeply, and losing out on millions is nothing. Basically you could start at level 1, skip pack rat and mining, and you'll just hit the hard wall a touch earlier. On the flip, your runs will be stupidly faster by skipping a lot via level skips, and by the time you get close to the hard wall (which is determined by your multipliers more than your money earned), the extra money won't matter too terribly much. If you're on the fence about buying level skip, just do it. A single regen will provide you with FAR more staying power than the extra money from mining, and the time saved is definitely in math's favor.
It goes up 20% of your current best so if you bought. It 5 times with your best at lvl 100 then you would start at lvl 100. At a best of 250 it goes up 50 levels a purchase.
I'm still on my first run since the update at 291 and am waiting until I die enough I want to regen to purchase it so I get the most levels for my coin.
Made it to level 21 or so, on my 3rd or 4th generation, and still loving it. I set it to auto basically the whole time, and it's just all about resource management at that point. After beating my first boss, I had about 12 premium coins, and so I bought the pack of 25 and got the coin doubler IAP. What I don't get is why people are suiciding. It seems like that would suck the fun out.
Hi, I've reached level 100 on 25th Gen. Already maxed the number of units on all support units and almost maxed their upgrades (except for the support tortoise). The problem I have is that during the waves the enemy bar seems to regain and it takes around 1-3 mins to finish the huge mob wave. I can finish the other waves in around 5-10 secs. I made huge investment on the resource mine as well and my hero is the auto mining gunner one. And I'm getting around 50k per active ability of the hero. My issue is not the resource but the time it takes to finish a wave. Any tips? Shall I push to move up my generation? Another is, aside from bonuses are there other benefits of going up the generation?
If u planning to play this long term it's best to quickly suicide and then properly beat the level.. It sounds very boring but in the long term it gonna save u plenty of time. Believe me if you are lesser than 35 regen you can't climb that high anyway and u probably spent more time reaching the same level as someone who are further up in regen
Oh real quick: speaking out against hero active buttons. UI is crowded enough IMO and while misclicks can make you misfire sometimes, I personally think that with mining on auto, it helps to have heroes be a part of active play. I like to stay immersed in the action, and checking the UI for active refresh timers will kill that immersion. Much more fun watching for glowing feet while gunning rodents down.
The issue is that units are locked until you regen a certain number of times arbitrarily. Does it make sense that I'm on level 140 and still can't use the support tortoise?
That's why I requested a toggle to turn them on and off for people to make a choice. You won't ever make everyone happy. Personally I don't find the hud cluttered at all. The buttons are transparent. Billy
Mining Bug So the mining bug, if we want to start calling it that, probably costs me 20-30 levels is my guess. My best is 137 currently, so I bet the ores I missed out on from starting at a higher level is worth 20-30.
What mining bug? My current start level is 400 and I don't feel as if I'm starting with less money than I need. Would I have more if I pumped all of my income into mining upgrades from 1-400? Sure - but I still have more than enough to buy all upgrades. As for regen - if you're trying to get as far as possible as fast as possible, then you should try to go as far as you can, once you can't progress - set you skip levels to your current level and start regenning over and over until you can't any more. Regenning gives you a massive damage bonus (mine's currently about 3500k%) that dwarfs any other damage bonus. As for perks, you're best bet is to always pick +% to money - barring that range.
The one that apparently affects everyone who's not at level 400 and doesn't have max upgrades. So it only affects 99% of the player base I guess. Good point.
No mining bug I would not call that a mining bug. That is unfair to the dev. It would be fair if they said you would get money from mines during level skipping but they have said repeatedly that is not the case. You should reword the issue as a feature request, Say I have upgraded my level skip to level 100. I think you should start at 10, this is because your starting money would be very small if you started at 1. This allows you to do some initial upgrading. Then in the upgrade menu have a dropdown in 5 or 10 level increments you can skip to up to the level you have paid to skip to. This would allow you to keep upgrading as you go and factor in mining upgrades. That is just an example of how you might be able to implement this. I personally have no issue with the way it currently works. Devs have done an amazing job putting out a creative game. And for the record my highest level is 64. I would agree this would be an awesome feature though!
Because I automagically started there? W/ the introduction of the pack rat I guess it's a thing, but I've never bothered with mining upgrades or clicking the gems. How much extra income would be included if the skipped levels included (un-upgraded) mining income? If you're needing to upgrade that quickly, then it's time to regen. Edit - regenning is THE BIGGEST SOURCE OF DAMAGE - far superior to the upgrades.
