Hoping they'll give us ability buttons for heroes at bottom of screen. Routinely I want to activate pack rat. Touch rat, one eye buffs units OK, tap pack rat again, I'm invincible OK, tap pack rat a third time, ah, orbs
Others have reported the same issue. Have you tried rebooting the device? Works for most. It's a very large patch. I've gotta agree. It's gonna come down to needing buttons for your hero abilities. It's too bad. Cluttering the UI further will be a shame but it has to happen. I'd say have a small arrow on the <strike>right</strike> left of the screen that is clicked to pull the arrow out to the <strike>left</strike> right and show hero ability buttons. At least then players can choose to have them shown or hidden. And I'd say the biggest reasons why we have to have this is the medic and the sniper. You want to have the shield up at just the right moment and you want to launch those missiles at "!" asap. Even though the sniper is right next to you, you have to pan the screen and then click him and that slight delay vs just clicking a button would make all the difference since the missiles don't land instantly. Edit: Changed where I suggested the arrow should be and pop out. Forgot that prim weapon select is on the right. I guess it's pretty clear how often I use the howitzer and sniper
Just a quick note, anyone with an iPad 4 and down, and an iPhone 5 and down will have the crash, so do not uninstall the game, as that won't fix it. So sorry about that, we've already submitted a hotfix (yesterday) - so hopefully Apple can give us a quick approval. Re: everything else, reading over the thread and noting feedback, even if I don't respond to it specifically. Hero ability buttons, wonky wave bar, etc are all noted!
Agree with needing a button to toggle the hero abilities due to misclicking or timing... but I haven't yet determined what the cool down rate is or how to know when their ability is ready to use again?
Just to clarify: the upgrade was apparently available to purchase, you clicked on it, it took your money, it didn't upgrade, and a "cant afford" pop-up appeared? Did you have over the listed amount of money to begin with? After you upgraded did you have 0 money left?
This is pretty easy to reproduce: * Let's say the x100 upgrade for something is 1M and I have 200K * Even if I don't have enough for the x10 the x100 will be 'ungreyed out' as if it was available * Some large percentage of money is taken and no upgrade is applied EDIT: This looks like it might just be the M throwing it off - as in 1M is less than 100K - so it shows as affordable http://imgur.com/a/zlhEC
Thats perfect, thanks for pointing us in the right direction! Also, the crash fix update just got approved, so it should be live any minute!
Devs, Another feature request. On top of the hero buttons, would it be possible to put in a toggle to NOT use the level skips in the next generation? I might want to down the road but I'd like the ability to not use the level skip I purchased. Billy
Yup, signed. Certainly not a priority fix but I kinda wish I could revert those purchases. A toggle option would be best. Definitely not looking for refund on that. I clicked before I thought about what I wanted.
I have been waiting until I had time to jump into this game, and am really liking it so far. I'm only on my second generation and 11th wave, but can't wait to see what's to come. My only complaint at the moment is the wait times to continue.
Sniper Squirrel target priority So, right now, it's tricky to pin down exactly how Sniper Squirrel works but, from my observations, I don't think he distinguishes between yellow exclamation points and red ones. Ya know, I'm only have a vague understanding of how those work so I guess I shouldn't pick on Mr. Squirrel. I'm 99% sure red exclamation points denote targets that are about to attack the main tortoise with some sort of ranged or leap attack. Less sure that yellow means engaging in combat with one of your allied troops? Either way, I think Sniper Squirrel is color blind and he'll take out whichever exclamation point is closest to him. If I dev could confirm or deny this, that would be wonderful but I know you guys have a lot on your plate. If this is the case, I think Sniper Squirrel could be a more viable choice if he targeted red exclamation points first (impending attacks on main tortoise). If you really want to give me everything I want you, Sniper Squirrel would target reds first in the order they appear but now I'm just being greedy Thanks for being so responsive, guys, and keep up the good work!
Damage Bug Without having read all of the posts on this forum, I'm not exactly sure if this has already been identified as a bug. After the update, after I have upgraded my support units, some of them eventually end up with a "Damage 3455k +0" (this is just an example, the actual damage amount will vary based on the level the units damage was once this bug kicked in). Not sure if I actually end up not getting any damage upgrade if i continue to purchase it, but it no longer shows any increase in damage for that unit however the cost continues to increase if I continue to purchase it. This has happened on my Gun Carriage, Mouse Assault Squad, Sparrow Squadron, and Biggin' Mouse Squad. Also, my Machine Gun damage (the bullet icon) does not show any stats anymore other than the Lvl. 100/1000 at the bottom. It doesn't even display the current damage. Hopefully others are experiencing the same thing so it can be fixed sooner than later. Otherwise great work on the game FM.
Great game. The own flaw is the CRAZY amount of time the beetle waves take. In the mid 200's a beetle wave can easily take 20/30 times longer than the other 9 waves on the level combined. It's like a fun game periodically turns to quicksand. Plus, these waves are zero threat. Please either remove them or MASSIVELY speed up the spawn rate - it would be fun for there to be a risk of being overwhelmed by shear numbers of weak melee move.
I found this too. I'm almost at lvl 280, and those beetle waves + the dmg bar slowly refilling, I just leave it in auto attack for 10+ minutes to get through the wave.
Signed on the wave length, especially with swarming critters. Waaaaaayyy too long, and I can't imagine any of them ever being a threat besides maybe the firefly one, and even that isn't a big deal. It just wastes a bunch of time. Update is great! Heroes are a hit, and enjoying the game more overall. I'm with the others on having not unlocked the support turtle yet. Got tired of purposefully dying... It's the opposite of fun really.
So is the use multiple heroes perk from the store permanent or do you have to repurchase it again after each generation? I want to know before committing to it.
Ok. I admit it. I am late to the party Jus started and played for 2-3 hours. What is the general consensus on progression? 1. What to upgrade so which level with how high of a priority? 2. When to go to a new generation? 3. Generally how to progress efficiently in this game? Should I just go to a new generation immediately? Which stats to have in general for my stuff and all these things. I am really overwhelmed by all the upgrades and units and 4 upgrades per thing is really confusing in terms of prioritization. Thanks for your help guys!
I actually think the way these waves work has changed. I notice that on the beetle waves (and tiny-flying-guy waves), the progress bar will move up and down. There is a steady stream. I walked away from my device and came back to wave 22 after about an hour. I'd just respawned and realized I hadn't bought anything. Only base tortoise and heroes were on the field. Progress meter was stalled about 1/6 of the way through. Out of curiousity, I left it as is and went to my meeting. Came back in 20 min and still same place. Bought upgrades and units and, bam. Wave complete in seconds. I believe the way these waves function now is there an initial spawn of many units and then there is a count of units arriving per second. The wave is completed when you overcome the flow of attackers and bring the count of enemies on the field down to 0.
Oh, of note on hero purchasing: the 20% discount is on remaining heroes. I have three left to buy and can buy all three for 24 tokens directly from the store. Since some of you are asking about that. To the guy about progression, it's been answered a few times in the last few pages.
Well it depends on your current generation, at least for me anyways. Mouse Squad helps A LOT because they draw aggro, I focused on Armor, HP and Squad size when possible. Gun Tower was my main mob clear I always get between 180m-200m range on it right after getting 2 before focusing on damage. Gun Squad helped with things outside of Gun Tower's range. I always grab the mine upgrades because the earlier I get them the more I get out of them later on so that's where the starting money I get from each new generation goes. I find that the MG and some AoE/mild mob clear like the Gun Towers and Mortar Racks goes a long way especially if you have a 3 mouse Mouse Squad or General One Eye to distract enemies. That usually gets me through the first 30 waves where I am (gen 25). I always do one generation a day to make sure the bosses I get are as weak as possible so I can maximize the amount of medals I get since the boss is generated based off your best boss kill and your current wave.
