2 days to a week, on average. it can take longer (especially during the holidays), but usually it's in that range. expect it sometime between tomorrow and next monday or so, but it's truly out of FM's hands at this point. I'm slightly leery about the scaling perks... I love the idea, but i'm worried that once we get enough of them, we're going to create near-endless runs. Once you have, say, 20-50 of these perks, they might OP you enough to go pretty danged far, significantly farther than last run, at which point you can buy some level advance perks, some new perks, have all your regular perks upgrade & get the global dmg bonus upgrade, and start a new run WAY more powerful than last time. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like that but I dunno how they can balance the purchased perks against the global damage perk WITHOUT it happening :/
That's exactly why we didn't auto scale up existing perks... it works out pretty well right now with NEW perks scaling only based on where you currently are. That means that a a +10000% damage buff will still start becoming obsolete once you progress another 5-10 levels again, at which time you'll be getting a new perk from completing a new goal, etc. Again, existing perks don't scale. Note that we've also re-balanced enemy damage a bit. I think you should see more of a "whittling down" of your health as opposed to insta one shot kills. I think it feels a heck of a lot better now, with a more gradual progression towards death as opposed to that feeling of 1 mistake and you're dead. Granted high tier enemies still deal a huge chunk of damage that you have to be careful about, but should be less mystery snipes now. Overall though, with heroes, perk scaling, and a bug fixed 2x damage perk, many players will see a HUGE jump in their levels before starting to see the exponential curve begin to challenge them again.
Good for you, pal. It's a shame the game doesn't work that way for everyone. For instance, I didn't log in for a couple of days, because, well, the game is boring. So I checked in today, and I got 13k in cash and no tokens upon checking in. As usual, there is not a boss option up (I have not seen one since last Friday, I believe, and that one was 7 levels above my then-max, which meant over an hour of play to get anywhere near the correct level). I'm currently sitting and working on some web design with the game up in auto on my iPad, which is my normal activity in this game. Heck, even playing to a point where I can reasonably die and go to the next generation takes an interminably long time. This game is in dire need of a 2x/4x/8x time multiplier.
Have you manipulated your device time at all? This will cause the timers to get out of whack if you ever set it forward. I ask this also because after 24 hours of being away, its a 100% chance to come back and get a token ordinarily, so something definitely not working right there. Its a form of cheat protection, but its kind of bugged so that it messes up the timers instead of resetting them, currently.
Nope. I've also (repeatedly) run into the issue with extended continue times and no option to do a new generation. This is on an iPad Air 2, everything up to date, etc. I don't use my iPad for very much at the moment. This game and reading comics are about the only things I've even unlocked it for in the past week.
maybe drove/flew across a time zone change? FM: Sounds cool! Glad it's on the radar, and looking forward to playing the update! More than anything else, I'm looking forward to enjoying a more active style of play (better MG, less damage spikes, heroes, etc)
Perfect update, it addresses so many concerns and problems. I think i need to report something that might not have been mentioned before. Sometimes when I purchase a weapon upgade for a unit, it won't apply until i buy another of that unit or that unit gets killed and respawns. For example- mouse gunner squad has three members, i buy a weapon upgrade, no visual change to any member or any difference in firing pattern, i purchase one more mouse and suddenly one of mice has a blue rocket laserguy thing. This happens at any stage of the game and what first clued me in to it was when the biggins mouse squad weapon upgrade didn't do anything and made me very sad. Quick question. Right now the game's pricing of everything makes it so that to be most effective you have to buy one of everything, do you want this to change or stay the same for the most part? Also how customizable do you want the game to be in general? Do you want everyone to have pretty different playstyles at one point? Future ideas:? Machine gun double barrel-tripple barrel for high costs. This way there is a system like adding units, to increase the effectiveness of each upgrade. Having the choice of 1 of 3 upgrades for each of your primary weapons. For example on the machine gun, a choice between vampirism, enemy pushback, etc, in low amounts. Possibly getting 1 (new type of) point after each generation that you can spend in a unit tree that allows you to unlock new units but not others depending on what you want to focus on? But you would need a lot more units or what i mentioned above to do that. This might be completely the oposite of the direction you want to go with the game, but i'm just excited, so maybe they'll help stem some new ideas or just be ruled out.
My guess is that you're just mistaken on the Weapon Upgrades - there are about 4 or 5 different Weapon Upgrades, and probably the only really distinct one is the Plasma Gun. The others are things like MG, heavy rifle, cannon, etc... if you weren't paying really close attention it could be easy to miss as some of them have similar attack patterns but slightly explosive ammo, etc. You can also look at the dps of the unit and see that it goes up appropriately. I think there is especially a quirk with Biggin Mouse bc their default weapon is a lesser version of one of the T2 weapons (the heavy rifle), so in a rare instance you will indeed upgrade and see no change (other than damage). But again, the damage is still definitely going up, dont worry Other than that, some good suggestions! We actually have a lot of similar things already on our possibilities list, but I'm not sure how feasible some of it would be.
Speaking of the Biggin mice, I've run into a bug where they would occasionally spawn with no weapon. So they would rotate and "aim" at where they want to shoot, and their paws would be in position as if they're holding a gun ... but there's no gun! And therefore ... no shooting! The only way to fix this was to buy a weapon upgrade. Not a particularly big deal, but it did happen more than once.
Is anyone else refreshing the AppStore like crazy? Man I can't wait for this update! It's killing me. I got my buy button finger all primed. I've been practicing tapping it. Hehe Billy
I'm just as excited for this update as I was for the game to originally release... Probably one of my most anticipated updates ever alongside the recent H&C2 update. Edit: Is it due anytime now? I thought it was still a few days away.
Interesting, I just checked on my Biggun Squad and it seems the third one forgot to bring his blam blam to the party also... maybe he's a secret pacifist? Edit: A weapon upgrade didn't seem to fix his problem though in this case.
I've been checking through out the day, every day since FM said it was submitted. This is the only thing I'm playing on mobile right now, had to break out the PSP.
As one of the many checking for updates seemingly every 15 minutes for this game. Reading this article is torture! Average approval time is down to 2 days and we are going on 4-5! http://9to5mac.com/2016/05/12/app-store-review-times-improvement/
Hey guys - update has just been approved, but as much as I REALLY want to launch it now, due to marketing reasons we'll have to wait until Tues/Wed of next week >_< Sorry about that - hopefully it'll be worth the wait!
By marketing reasons you mean articles about a big update comming so more people know about this game? Sure, it can bring more players, therefore more money, therefore even more updates. So it is a good choice even for us and noone can complain
