Had the same happen to me fwiw. Had first boss today in about 5 days. Haven't been playing as heavily, thought maybe it skips if you don't play during the boss' time window, but didn't keep track of how often I was playing to say with any certainty.
Just a suggestion, but what if the level skip perk (1 token) gave an increase to starting money equal to the wave's cumulative money gain? And have the base affected by the Money Earned percent perk so it scales properly. I breeze through the first few levels each generation but I've refused to skip levels since the gold is risk-free gold in exchange for veryfew seconds to minutes.
Thats what it does... you get the money you would've earned from skipped levels - the game actually simulates the levels instantly, so you even get the money for the specific enemies you would have killed too - this is inherently scaled by the money perks because again, we just simulate the game as if you had played those levels and beat them all instantly.
Wait really what?! That should be on a tooltip or something! Honestly didn't know and obviously was too scared to try! LOL. Great, guys, thanks!
I decided to Reset Data from the options menu, to try and get bosses again, knowing full well that I'd lose all progress. What I didn't expect to lose were my permanent money and damage doubler perks! *sad face*
Oh yeah, me too hehehe Just joking I haven't bought them, but I'm sure Foursaken would be happy to reimburse you or something
The strange thing is that when I hit Reset Data, I was put back at the start of the game, and given 75 tokens. That was enough for the money doubler, and almost enough for the damage doubler, so it's not really a problem (I'm now only 8 tokens away from grabbing the damage doubler again). In fact everything might be ok, as I had originally bought 45 tokens, and then 25. And if I remember correctly, the game gives you 5 tokens at the start of a game (I could be wrong though). Therefore, I'm not out of pocket at all. Sorry for the misunderstanding everyone. The game seems to have handled the situation correctly.
FWIW, I too have had quite a few days go by without a boss showing up. I assumed they were server side, but I do think it might be a random issue. I have not checked in a couple days as I have been waiting to go back to playing until after the first update hits.
Can someone confirm that the tokens spend on Money and damage doubler are not waisted after a reset because I'm on the verge of doing that and I'm not inclined to buy something that I've paid for already.
I guess the doublers are gone becouse you don't buy them, you might get all the tokens you've purchased when you reset, tho
I highly enjoy playing this game but I ran into a problem and need to know if it can be fixed without resetting the game. I had set my time forward manually a few days ago for use in another game. I've set it back but it now says I have to wait 35 days until I can get a free perk. I also happened to notice the boss is no longer showing up. Is there any way to fix this problem?
Yep! Any Tokens you've bought from IAPs will remain when you reset. We're actually changing this in the 1st update to make you keep the specific permanent store items you've purchased after reset instead (with any tokens not spent on permanent stuff leftover). You keep the Tokens you purchased from IAPs after you reset. I think we changed the way cheat protection works in the next update so that won't happen... Right now I think you'll have to reset to fix what you've got going on though >_<
Out of curiosity, has the update been submitted to Apple. I know it was said you hoped to have it submitted Monday. But I dont believe it was ever verified that it was. Not trying to rush, just very eager and excited about it!
Ugh that's unfortunate, will it fix itself when the update hits? I'd rather not have to restart. I've made it pretty far into the game. If it doesn't, I may just wait out the timer.
Heh ... the Foursaken Guys have been busy. A reasonably meaty update to Heroes and Castles 2 just landed on the App Store today as well.
