Tried it. Died and expected the "tap to continue' but instead, just continued back on the first level. May be tied ro whatever the bug is with gamecenter, as inhave recently been kicked out of that as well.
That is exactly how they work, and that is why perks get underpowered right now... mentioned a bunch that perks will now scale up when generated based on your current best level to always keep perks competitive and make an impact no matter where you are at in the game. For ex a level 10 perk generated at Level 50 will now give 7-8k% bonus instead of 350%. Yes, it will be significant. Money perks will not scale up, however, as they automatically scale, as your money keeps increasing with your current level anyway. Also health perks will not scale up, as health/enemy damage is on a completely different scale than damage/enemy health. One of the new Hero's passive abilities is auto-collect (coming in first update) Each hero has unique passive and active abilities, so different heroes will be good in different phases of the game, and based on different play styles (for ex there are more "idle" oriented heroes, and more "active play" oriented heroes). The game will never be 100% idle though if you want to maximize your power, as you will still have to manually activate hero special abilities. I believe there is supposed to be a 5 second delay after you die, before auto next generation kicks in... what level and generation are you on? In any case, we're adding an alternate option to the options menu, just in case!
aaahhhhhhhh ok thanks, I wasn't understanding what you were talking about with how perks would scale up. that makes much more sense now thanks!
So will the perks scale automatically with current level, or will they stay fixed but based on the level on which they were generated? I.e. Should I level up before getting perks?
This started about generation 22. I am now on generation 38, because I get kicked into the next generation before the clock timer even winds down. I have the 30 countdown if I die (usually mid 30s level) and at about 18 seconds on the countdown timer, I go back to level 1, and am the next generation. My gererations are crazy high because I am not given an opportunity to continue to go forward. I just get kicked back to level one. Maybe i should try and purposefully die at a low level so I couldnt next generate. Died at level 3 several times. Tap to continue screen came up with no timer, despite dieing several times in a row. After about 3 seconds, I was taken into Level 3 at the start, and in autobattle. No generation change though. Somethings buggy.
Only generated perks scale. It's not retroactive, though we're looking at different "reward" ideas to compensate and thank players for playing.
I can't tell if its checked or not. I figured if i pressed it, it would turn it on. I will give it a shot. As far as I know, I would have never turned it on unless it was accidental.
Are there no tokens awarded for finishing level 60 and above? A daily loyalty bonus would also be welcome to earn tokens, one a day for example, that seems fair.
There are... Just completing the goals and you'll keep earning tokens. You also have a chance to earn a token while away.
Will the new Heros be purchasable via tokens? I'm trying to decide whether to spend another $10 now or wait for the update. I absolutely would want the auto mineral collection hero. Billy
That's a nice incentive to keep on playing and reaching the goals but I'm at level 60 playing daily and was awarded exactly 2 tokens (1 each on different occasions) when being away... . The bosses where a few times to strong to earn tokens in the most honourable way.
Aside from nitpicking about the tokens, War Tortoise is a great game and that deserves to be mentioned also as is your lighting fast response
So I got to level 41 (generation 38). Killed myself, the timer screen fo 30 seconds came on. In the left lower corner were 2 button choices, but the same color, Auto Continue, and Auto Next Generation. There was nothing to indicate these were either on or off. I pressed Auto Next Generation, and...... Went back to Level 1 and became Generation 39. I will like it when there is a way to definitely turn any auto stuff off.
First thanks for the fun game. I love the idle mode and I constantly plan my game to idle on the levels I don't need to participate in. Currently I am in the level 550s of the game. I idle mostly from 13-450. A couple of things that would help other players once they reach this point in the game. Right now my deaths really occur when a couple of shots take out my support units. There are certain levels that will one shot all my mouse squads and biggins all at once since they are grouped together. Maybe there should be an option to upgrade their durability instead of only damage? At this point in the game I generate and accumulate a ton of cash, but I have to spend it before it goes negative. If my funds go negative I am screwed because I cannot upgrade anymore until it changes back to positive again. I think you will need to increase the maximum amount of funds one can hold or somehow fix the negative money bug. One of the biggest problems with the units is probably the sparrow. I feel they just hover around my turtle doing nothing most of the time. Maybe you can move them forward and keep them near the zeppelin area to actual do some damage. The Zeppelin and Support turtle units are insanely expensive. I can barely upgrade each a few times before I need to go on a multi hour long idle session. It seems to me that the cost is way too much for the cash you can generate even at extremely high levels. Not sure if this problem will solve itself over the long run when you are in the levels 1000+, but that is just an observation I have thus far. Right now I am loathing starting a new generation. The main reason is all the clicking I have to do to upgrade back up to 1000 upgrades. This is generally very easy for the cheaper units. I wish there was an option to do like 100 upgrades at a time or whatever you can afford. It's like a 30 minute chore ever new generation for me. So the dying question I have and the reason for this reply is this. Right now it takes me probably around 18 hours of idle time or close to a full 24 hours to get back to 400's. I would love to spend some tokens and purchase the upgrade to increase my start level upon next gen, but I am afraid if I lets say increase it to level 100. I lose out on all the easy money necessary and required to power up your units to prepare for the harder levels. I hope this observation for a high level player will help preempt some implementations on the next update so others can have a much smoother ride once they reach this point as well. Many thanks!
They can be fast unlocked with tokens for sure. Still working out all the unlocking systems for the heroes though. This is all great late game feedback. A few notes... Sparrow deals most of his dps through the single shot, super high damage missile - in this regard he and the zeppelin are a bit unique. His normal weapon is actually pretty short range. He moves freely to target units, and we double checked a few times to see if there is any abnormal behavior, but didnt find any. The 'Head Start' store item does indeed calculate income you would've earned had you played the levels. We actually simulate the levels behind the scenes so you get the exact amount of income you would've earned. The only thing you will miss out on however, is the income from mines, naturally. We're greatly increasing the scaling of this item as well so it will be more feasible to head start up through the levels as you start getting super far into the game. Noted on the upgrades - we'll see if we can't implement something for quick upgrading! Negative money is definitely a bug of some sort - when does this happen - did you notice at what amount of money it switches over to negatives? I'm guessing its something like after 999,999?
Now -- this is ridiculous @FM just got 125 tokens via IAP to support your fine game and almost 24/7 presence on this forums. Some other devs should really learn a thing or two by watching your success. Cheers
Foursaken, I've said previously ever since the game went official the sparrow squads just go in circles around the turtle. It's definitely not normal. They did not do this during the beta. They circle and circle and circle and circle and then one will go and then another. But there's a lot of circling. Someone else mentioned it too. If you found no abnormal behavior why would they do this? Maybe I should take a video and send it? What address could I send a short video file to? This is constantly happening to me. I stopped upgrading them because of the behavior I don't want to waste the money. Also thank you for the answer on the hero. I'll hold off then on my next purchase for the first update then. I plan to purchase the no ads and will definitely be fast unlocking whatever hero auto collects minerals. Man I can't wait for this update. This game is so kick ass! Billy
Yeah if you can email us a video of Sparrow, that would be a great help. Cant seem to reproduce this behavior at all - been play testing this newest update for quite a while and have yet to see any odd behavior once... not saying it doesn't exist but we just can't seem to track it down!
I find that generally happens during a mass beetle wave when the enemies are weak and getting picked off so quickly that there isn't any time for the sparrows to target anything. Outside of that I don't see a lot of circling near the tortoise.
