Great game guys, congrats. Like all clickers, it's low on real gameplay, but really addictive.
I'm on 18th gen, my best was level 52, and I bought a 10€ IAP.
For now, my strategy was not upgrading primary weapons other than machine gun, as I always play on automatic, I take control rarely, just for targeting heavy weapons on later levels.
    Some critics :
Heavy weapons, the text stays maybe one second after you got rid of them, please remove immediately, I don't see the point of letting it, and so I'm searching the screen for others, when they are none anymore. Showing where the threats are would be awesome, if possible please consider.
"Auto-battle" text, it's too big, and too much in the middle, I would be for it to disappear completely, you already know with the icon.
For the upgrades, I'd really like to know what damages I'll have when buying a weapon upgrade, in order to know if it's cost effective.
Mouse gunners become irrelevant quickly, I think. The assault too, but as they attract enemies they still are interesting, but the gunners are here for damage, and their damage becomes ridiculous compared to the other supports.
Mining becomes quite quickly not interesting to upgrade, I think. I try to force myself to buy them until the mines are at level 10 or so, but then spending more than 200k to gain 150+bonus on each, I don't see the point. Maybe the bonus to earning and to speed should increase with each upgrade ?

So that's my gripes on top of my head, other than that it's a real drug, can't wait to see what you'll bring in further updates.

I'm getting an error when trying to claim the perk we get every 6 hours, any idea?

  3. A Sparrow with a Machine Gun??!!

Trying to solve one of the Riddler's devious puzzles...

    THE COMMISSIONER:
    What's 6 oz
    Sits in a tree
    and is extremely dangerous?

    Robin:
A SPARROW WITH A MACHINE GUN!

If you all weren't referencing the 1960s Batman movie there, well, you did and its hilarious :D :D :D

    Must've missed these!
    1) away money is determined by your current level/wave when you leave
    2) goals, bosses, and randomly when you come back from away
    3) bosses are randomly generated, based on your current level and your current highest level
    4) Who says your tortoise is a good guy!? :p Something we're thinking about is adding a lore book with little story tidbits and tips... not sure if that will actually happen but something we have on the table

    Will be in first update!

Noted - we'll take a look at some of these!

    Whats the error message say?

That would be great, hope you'll have time one day for this.

I thought if maybe you could add a red timer on top of the head of heavies targeting you, that would be nice, it would attract attention and you would know how long you have before dying.
For the weapons upgrades showing what damage you gain when you buy them, maybe add this to buying new support too. It's obvious when you add a new member to existing support, of course, but anyway it would be great in this case too.
Have a nice Sunday, you shouldn't be working ! :)

Have you ever encountered a raccoon IRL? I had a friend's dad who was an old cowboy fellow and had a domesticated pet Raccoon named Skittles. They're deviant little bastards man, he had him trained to be able to jump off his shoulder, crawl up his friends and steal their cigarette pack from their front pocket, and take ONE cigarette out, and carefully (and extremely quickly) pull out all the tobacco, yet leaving the filter and paper entirely intact.

If skittles has tough me anything, it's that you gun down raccoons when you see them.

Has anyone else had any issues with crashing? iPhone 6 with lots of memory, every time I die, the game force quits and automatically moves me ahead a generation when I reopen the app. Super frustrating.

Really fun game though! Even though I can only get to level 7....

Do you happen to have auto next generation checked on (in the death screen)?

Haven't heard about much of any crashing though - will have to check it out!

    Aint it just awesome?
Actually, my friend got a pet raccoon. Little beast is rather funny, with all that wits and penchant for opening everything he can reach.

Back to the game, having a big red marker on ranged enemies aiming you would be nice.

Came in here hoping for some deep analysis of upgrades but was a bit disappointed (but 30 pages in, so i managed to waste an hour...)

    A few questions:

--How often / when are bosses generated? Offline only? Online only?
--What was said about damage values showing the entire squad rings false to me ; I literally just upgraded my mouse gunner squad size from 1 to 3 units while typing this post ; the damage stayed exactly the same, and the upgrade to damage also stayed the same. I always assumed that this was the value for each member of the squad. Is this inaccurate?
--Why are there 2 more levels of weapon upgrades than units? For mouse gunners, there are 5 units on the team, so...what do the 6-7th upgrades do?
--If i purchase 3 weapon upgrades and have only 1 unit, what happens?

    And a few suggestions:

I agree with the comments about armor/health balance ; If you get 1-shot by just about anything that hits you, that's not really a tortoise at all...and it makes upgrades to health seem mostly useless. I'm certainly not having major issues spending about $1/$30000 (or less...) on health. As in most games, killing stuff >> not dying.

I'd like to see some in-game statistics to help me out. I'm envisioning a table view that pops up as a sub-screen on the upgrade page which shows for each weapon/unit i have how much damage it's dealt (avg. DPS over the last 60 seconds?), and how much cash i invested in it, and maybe how often it was actually firing at enemies (for units with range upgrades, especially) That way i can (presumably) see where i'm spending too much cash and where i'm not spending enough.

I'm confused about next generation. It says I get added bonus of 50% dmg and whatever else. And I've done this like ten times . I still do the same damage and the game speed is still the same .
I've reset ten times and still only get to level 7 for last three hours.
Not sure what's going on but this is wasting so much time restarting and getting to the exact same spot.
If you want to start where u left off u have to pay or wait so long

Ok, I tried to understand the damage, sometimes it's obviously per shot, but sometimes it must be the dps, for the turrets it's dps isn't it ?
For now, I try to maintain everything at the same cost level, I just got to level 65, and everything was at 30000 credits, except for the "specials". I don't know what else to do, as we can't know the efficiency of each, we can only assume it was balanced for the cost... I do the same for the big upgrades, buy all that cost less than 50k, then all that cost less than 100k, etc etc etc...

You see those little nuggets of white or blue or teal that pop up as you play that give you money? The mining tower increases both the rate in which they appear, and the amount in which the nuggets are worth per tap.

To stop getting 1 shot, upgrade your armor... Helps big time.

FM replied a few pages back... Mouse squad dmg does NOT increase per mouse. So if dmg is at 1000 with 1 mouse and you go to 2 mice dmg is not 2000 now split between them.

    I've level 29 and wave 8.

I had to fight one HUGE BOAR a few levels back and beat both 24 hour bosses.

That boat was insane. With 11 sniper rounds at like 90,000 each, howitzer with like 300,000k and 3 mortar racks, with big mouse gunner, 4 mice gunners, 3 bumble bee, sparrow squad, and weapon upgrades... It still took me a few to chew throat it

Who else here prefers a support unit approach?

I focus on my units and mortars and machine gun, then just leave the game on auto. Is very efficient for me and let's me progress without having to sit through any of the slag

Bosses are generated randomly based on your current level and best level. They are generated offline.

The damage is the dps total of the entire squad - NOT the amount per squad member. Just double checked and its working as it should... stock mouse damage is 20 for ex, when you increase squad size to 2, its 40, etc. Can you show screenshots of your damage values at different squad sizes? If its really not increasing that's definitely a bug.

Amount of weapon upgrades vary per squad. For each weapon upgrade, its x4 damage on a single unit (individual weapon upgrades are divided up between the members). So if you have 4 members with 6 weapon upgrades, 2 members will have x4 damage, and 2 members will have x8 damage. Another way to think about it is any unit with 1 weapon upgrade has a "Tier 2" weapon which does 4x damage. Any unit with 2 weapon upgrades has a "Tier 3" weapon (minigun, heavy plasma, sniper, etc), which does 8x damage.

The game will not allow you to upgrade 3 weapon upgrades if you only have 1 squad member - it gives you a message saying you need to increase your squad size before you can get another weapon upgrade.

Re: health... to keep pace with the damage scale of enemies, you should generally upgrade health once per 10 waves.

The damage bonus for Next Generation is based on the level you reach when you next gen, with bonuses for beating your previous best. You should see your total +x% damage to everything in the perks section. At generation 10 you should have at least +500% damage...

We're also building in some things to tweak timers and lessen their effect for players in your situation.

Primary weapons are listed as damage per shot (its more valuable to see the damage per shot for sniper and howitzer, and bc MG has rate of fire, it makes more sense to keep them listed separately), and everything else is dps.

The balance for cost will change dramatically based on a variety of factors, which change dynamically for different players - this is a large key to finding the best upgrade routes! Weapon upgrades, squad size, and perks all change the value of damage upgrades. For ex a damage upgrade for a 1 man mouse gunner squad suddenly doubles once you have a 2 man squad (you're adding damage to 2 members for the same cost) - which means damage upgrades become better for cost as you increase the squad size. Same with weapon upgrades - damage upgrades affect the damage by a %, so naturally you'll be increasing damage by quite a bit more when someone has a weapon upgrade, vs without. This is how lower tier units stay relevant for a while, via squad size and weapon upgrades.
