I'm going to take a guess and say it's another FPS. All of GL's other war type games have been mainly FPS, I don't think any of them have been RTS.
I think it's from Gameloft's forum here: http://forum.gameloft.com/index.php?topic=6188.msg41456#new I'm still not 100% convinced. I did some research and it turns out it's also a book. I don't see anything to do with a game in the image he posted. http://www.amazon.com/War-Pacific-1941-1945-General-Military/dp/1849083940
Not convinced. I would say its another war FPS but they already have modern combat so why make this. Gotta be fake.
They already have modern combat? I wouldn't compare it to that series. They already have Brothers in Arms (2).
Well the image has obviously been taken from this book: http://www.amazon.com/War-Pacific-1941-1945-General-Military/dp/1849083940 I'm not dismissing it completely though, I don't see why someone would lie about this. If the thread on Gameloft's forums gets taken down then there's our confirmation that it's fake.
I think its legit, I just hope its not just a TPS or FPS. Rather, a flight simulator, FPR/TPS hybrid. You pilot choppers and planes and aid your comrades in fighting in world war 2. While also playing as a soldier like in BIA2 and stuffs. I think of the Mini-Series "The Pacific" (one of the best shows I have had the privalege of watching) and hope that its kinda gonna revolve around that.
Think about this, when were we in the Pacific fighting any one? Answer: World War 2. Think about this, were there any modern planes during world war 2? Answer: No. I think that unless Gameloft is going to make a shitfest cluster**** game like Darkest of Days we wont see modern planes in a historic war. OR they create an entirely new IP (Gameloft creating a new IP HAHAHA yeah right) by creating a fictional war in the pacific and we fly modern aircraft.
I don't think they were referring to the fact that they want modern planes in WWII, rather that they wanted a modern flight combat game like HAWX 2 as opposed to WWII.
The original info came from ProjectNext.eu,and they are not lieing. Source : http://www.projectnext.eu/main-zone/ip-zone/iphone-ipod-touch-game-previews/20739-war-in-the-pacific-by-gameloft/
The only proof that this game MAY be reality is that the person on the Gameloft Forum says he works for them, his account was made a while back, and he TONS of rep...
