Hello all. I want to buy a Twitter app, but dont know which one. All I want to do is basically get Tweets pushed through like a text message. Tweets Direct Messages Replies but they all need to push through to my phone so I dont have to keep checking the twitter app. I dont want to use Growl Thanks
Top three I'd say in no paticular order are SimplyTweet $5 has demo push notifications for dm and messages. (oops guess this is what you want out of all of them) Tweetie 2 $3 Twitterrific $4 has free demo with ads
SimplyTweet and Tweetie 2 are my apps, keep switching between them. Although I just recently went back to SimplyTweet, Tweetie was amazingly fast, but a tiny bit buggy when leaving and re-entering the app. The ST dev is amazingly responsive to questions and enhancement suggestions.
Do any of those push Tweets to the iPhone homescreen like text messages or does it only push DM and Messages? I want an app that pushes Tweets to the iphone homescreen
I recommend Twitterlator Pro. Very active devs, lots of big updates, chock full of features. It might be overkill for you though.
I just what a Twitter app that pushes TWEETS to the iPhone homepage. So THe phone makes a noise and I look and it says : stephenfry: Found a Canon somewhere that's working fine. Jumped up and down on the Kodak which gave me great satisfaction. etc. I want push Tweets like an SMS would work
yeah! i want one too! i use twitbird pro but it wont send push messages to my ipod when theres a dm or a tweet! yes it is while im connected to the internet

WHat you want is echofon pro. It has a nice simple format and pushes @'s and DM's. there is a free version you can check out but it will not push notifications.
