Sucks that I have an iPod Touch 1G. I had to buy a dock speaker station for like $80. The good part is that it charges my battery overnight, but heck I could easily buy something with that extra $79 I save if I had a 2G iPod or iPhone.
First Impressions: * No Landscape mode. => iPod Touch does not have a stand delivered with it, like the iPhone. I got a landscape mode stand, with my case. I want a landscape mode! * Design is OK. Color-scheme also good, although the dark scheme is still verry illuminous in the dark. * Sound selection works fine. Transfered some of my ring-tones from my mobile to my iPod Touch. I'm going to be waked tomorrow morning with the countdown and main theme of "Raumpatrullie Orion" * Multiple Songs can only be selected in form of a playlist. Overall result: Good (Alarm-)Clock with possiblities for more.
Another suggestion: Incremental volume on alarm sound. Start low, slowly raise volume, with settings for start and end volume.
Bought as soon as I read the description. I used to have a stereo in high school (long ago) that I could set up to play my cd's in the morning, but have had a regular boring alarm clock since then.
After the night: * One thing that's still missing: Sleep-in music, timed music from the library (different than the wake-up songs!) * The App works great. Just put the iDevice in sleep mode while the App is running; it will play the selected music on the alarm time, just like the internal alarm. Recomended for those looking for something like this
I imagine the app store will be flooded with these kind of apps soon. Its going to be the new flashlight.
I forgot: Date format is english, but the date itself is displayed in German (on my device). If you guys pick up the date, please also pick up the used format! Germany does not use Day, Month Date, but Day, Date Month
Crypton, Thank you very much for the feedback. We are working diligently to take great suggestions like yours into consideration for future updates. FYI - AlarmTunes 1.1 was submitted tonight so keep an eye out for it in the coming days. We are really excited for this update, has some great new enhancements! Thanks
We are currently waiting on Apple to approve 1.1 so we can submit 1.2 which will include the "fall asleep to your music" timer feature.
good luck apple's approval system is much slower ever since 3.0. but any ways i just got the app cause i hate the ipod's alarm system. so i'll give my feed back late tonight or tommorow. thank you for releasing this.
