Gah, I still haven't gotten around to playing this yet! Too many games! :p

Not a bad thing by any means, though.

    That's great news!

I can finally get to continue playing this game, and perhaps I will get credit for the update ;)

BTW Apple did listen to me and iOS 6, will have individual selections for the privacy section just like I wished for due to the whole Buzz does incident.

First of all, thank you for such an imaginative game. Your constant efforts at improving WaWa Land are greatly appreciated. The artwork is spectacular! I do have two issues however.first, when trying to run, I sometimes jump; why two inputs for jumping? Also, the controls just seem imprecise. I often struggle to achieve simple tasks. I am sure this will be addressed in future updates? My very best, Lobster

    Hi Lobster!
Thank you very much for your support, I am really happy to see that you like my game ;)

    Answers to your issue:
    - That's because you can slide your finger from one button to another, so you can jump while running. If your finger touch the dash button and then goes over the jump button it will happen.

    - For the simple tasks, what are your problems? Do you have the last version (1.05)?

    Have a good day ;)

(I may reply tomorrow, it's 2AM in France right now)

    Lobster here,
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I placed the buttons differently, and that resolved the problem. The other thing I have noticed is that very precise timing is required to double jump. I wish it were a little easier. The more I play the game, the more challenging and inventive I find it. It is an enchanting little world you have created, and the variety of play mechanics and level design are outstanding. Really great character designs as well... This is such a beautiful game. It is titles like this that have kept me from buying a 3ds or a Vita. I truly hope you enjoy great success with this game! Best, Lobster

    Thanks again Lobster :)
For the double jump, if you have troubles with it, notice that you can also hold down the button and it will have the same effect as the double jump ;)

BTW, when you've got time please, let a review on the App Store ;)

Ok so Wawa Land 1.06 has been sent to Apple yesterday, and it should be released the next week. Of course, it includes a patch for buzzdoes that will always show you an alert so you can allow (or not) the access to your personal data.
There are also a lot of bug fixes and balancing, I will tell you more about that once it will be available ;)

I am happy to hear of the new update. As you requested I posted a review on iTunes. Have you considered getting rid of the timer? I don't really see how it serves the gameplay. Also, did you do the art yourself?

Thanks again for your support ;)
I will keep the timer, but in the next update every world has 20 more seconds to be played + every time you die and go back to the checkpoint you get a time bonus if you have not enough time left to finish the world.

For your last question: everything (gameplay, art, code, sfx, music, animations...) is made by myself ;)

BTW if you are so fan of Wawa, take a look at its Facebook page or Twitter, there are some contests from time to time to win free copies for your friends/your family ;)

That's great news, and I'm looking forward to the update so I can resume playing! :) I'm sure with a few more updates this game can get better and better. Just a few questions, though; Do you have any idea when you can start on a content update (not rushing you, just wondering)? And how many copies of the game approx have been sold?

Thanks, really happy to see that all this work goes in the right way ;)
For the content update I will start to work the next week on it. So the chapter 3 (8 new worlds) should be available in late july / early august.
For the sales all I can say is that Wawa does well for now ;) That said, I think that it would sold much more if the controls and inertia were as they are now from the start. Once this update will be available, I will try to get in touch with the guy who tested the app for the TouchArcade's Show podcast a month and half ago ;)

Great update Yann! The controls feel much tighter, now all deaths are due to player incompetence lol!

I have tons of platformers and I can honestly say that this is one of the top quality ones out there. Really takes me back to the snes days of youth!

Ok so I have sent Wawa Land Lite to Apple! It will be released in two weeks on June 26th.
It's not just a demo of the game but a prequel :) You will see how the Royal Jelly has been captured XD
And of course, it will be free XD

I will make a new topic for it in the upcoming section soon ;)

Okay, I'll definitely try the lite version then! :) And I'm waiting for this update and the content update too lol. Do you have any new mechanics planned for the content update (like the mine carts/races)?

    Cool :)
You are definitly waiting for a lot of things XD
All I can say for the content update is that there will be always a new feature for each new worlds, as I have done for the previous worlds ;)
