Excellent question. I believe Traps N Gemstones is more of a Metroidvania, not a puzzle game like this one. Vulture Island really reminded me of many hours spent playing, and dying, in the Dizzy games. Would also love to see more in this vein. Although I am now also going to get Traps N Gemstones anyway, which I missed first time around but has been sitting on my wishlist for about six months.
Vulture Island on PC? If someone would like to see Vulture Island on Steam, feel free to check out our submission on Greenlight. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=768387525 Daniel
Mods: I hope it's OK with posts that link to Steam here on TouchArcade. If not, please delete it immediately and pardon my ignorance.
Same here. Gonna play TnG first, wish I already got but was on my backlog. Then, later, Vulture Island. Love their "simple" games.
This game reminded me a lot of Strangest Island Escape: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=260616
Thanks! Where do I find the tool to hit a button objects in that level? It doesn't seem like I'm able to reach it.
You will need some kind of projectile-firing weapon. Each character gets one. Spoiler There's a slingshot in a vase on a platform outside the witch's cottage. You can't reach the platform itself, but you can nudge the vase.
TnG is superb. In all honestly was hoping VI was going to be a sequel to it. Still hoping DG does a true sequel.
can't get enough of this game. i love how i don't die and its game over. you do die and start the progress of the level your on over which is brilliant
**SPOILER** Can someone explain how bug spray can break down a rock wall but has no effect on the actual bugs in the game? If there's no explanation and its just random, that's honestly just stupid and frustrating. It's not a puzzle if it makes no logical sense.
Even so, how could the player reasonably figure out that's what you used the bug spray for? I just got lucky when I figured it out, but I was getting close to giving up. Or maybe just put more clues in to help players. Just my 2 cents.
I think the previous answer to your post was right, and I agree with you that is seems a little unfair - but you only have about three different things you can try at that stage. Trial and error will get you through most things, in time-honoured puzzle game fashion.
