I want to thank you for providing us access to a full premium sim. Congratulations to you! I also grew up playing the origins sim city on my apple and it was amazing. I'll consider purchasing game but have to admit that I've not gotten back into sin city games on the iPhone or iPad due to the time commitment, the challenges of micromanaging, and the overall length of gameplay. As life happens, the time to truly sit back and enjoy a good simulation or game has diminished so some of the new mobile gaming style and full games fot best with my allowable time! That being said, your game looks great and you have tried to address a number of the challenges of sims today with your quick speed timing and lack of micro managing etc... Congrats again for completing and launching your sim! I've gladly paid for this game and so far I'm enjoying it. Admittedly I'm a seasoned simcity player so I didn't need the tutorial, I found it straightforward to get in and play. Really looking forward to the future of this app and the ideas you have for expanding it. I haven't had a chance to play it on my iPad yet so I don't know, but if there isn't cloud syncing already would you consider adding it so we can continue our city's across devices? Oh, just one other thing. In the game my earned money seems to top out at 200,000. Once I reach that level no more money is added. Is this an intentional limit? Ok, I lied two other things. Would you be able to add in map rotation. It's hard to see what's going on behind the tall buildings. Cheers and well done, I hope the app does well for you. sleb Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2010 385 3 18 Ohio #26 sleb, Sep 8, 2015 Bought the game as it is a premium builder. It is very fun, but it would be nice if some more depth could be added in. The Dev did a great job and hopefully will keep adding to this game to make it a classic. Nice job, looks very promising! Please reconsider your UI fonts though Best of luck! bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #28 bazola, Sep 8, 2015 Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback! I will be looking at all of the feedback and implementing as many of the features as I can. The 200,000 money cap is indeed an intentional limit. I put that in the game in order to counterbalance Ultra speed. The unfortunate consequence of a very fast speed is that once the player has even a small amount of profit, they can set the game to Ultra speed in order to gain lots of money quickly. The cap lessens this effect somewhat. I'm working on map rotation right now Very nice idea! A huge thank you to all those who purchased the game! bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #29 bazola, Sep 22, 2015 I'm back to announce that the first content update for VoxelCity has just completed review and will shortly be making its way to the App store! The next update for the game is going to be the Disaster Update. I've got a lot of ideas for crazy, interesting disasters to throw at your cities. To celebrate the first content update, I've decided to give away some promo codes. I will give away one batch now (1 PM CST) and another batch later this evening (about 5:30 CST) so if you miss one the first round, come back and check later! Unfortunately I don't have any keys for you right now. However, the game just went on sale today so it is only 99 cents. It will be on sale for the rest of the month of December. Also, I added landscape orientation support in the last update, so it plays really great on the iPad. Happy holidays! JJE Well-Known Member Feb 22, 2012 63 1 8 Artist Boston, Massachusetts #33 JJE, Dec 13, 2015 It's a good sim. Quite entertaining to play and well worth trying for ¢.99. Not needing to hastle with timers and multiple currencies is a big plus. It has some rough edges but the regular updates from the developer are very promising. For everyone who was sorely disappointed with SimCity on mobile give this one a look. Now if I just could figure where the darn pharmacy it wants me to build is located I'll be a happy camper. IOSgamer1980 Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 432 2 18 #34 IOSgamer1980, Dec 13, 2015 So this is basically Sim City then? JJE Well-Known Member Feb 22, 2012 63 1 8 Artist Boston, Massachusetts #35 JJE, Dec 13, 2015 As much as a Rogue-lite game is original Rogue. Nowhere near the depth of resource management as SimCity but when compared to mobile SimCity it think it compares very well. You balance water, energy and the housing, shopping and industry needs of three tiers of resident; so you're balancing eleven variables overall. Plus there's an interesting RPS mechanic concerning who likes to live next to who. It doesn't do infrastructure (yet?) so there is no road or sewer management however using the city park block to separate neighborhoods unfriendly to each other does serve that purpose in a way. Overall this results in an interface that graphically is pretty and interesting but a bit jumbled, especially in late game. Map rotation is useful but not smooth. faceleg Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2015 158 0 16 Software Engineer Auckland, NZ #36 faceleg, Jul 19, 2016 How is this game now? SIB?
