Enjoy an all-new yet appealing nostalgic gaming experience from YOKO TARO, Keiichi Okabe, and Kimihiko Fujisaka, developers of the NieR and Drakengard series. ■Gameplay Just like during a tabletop RPG, you're guided through the story by the game master as you journey through a world where all the field, town, and dungeon maps are depicted as cards. The battles are turn-based, and gems—an item needed to unleash skills and granted each turn—are key to victory. You can also deal extra damage or inflict status ailments with a roll of the dice—an action that may determine your fate... ■Story Long, long ago, the people lived in peace. But then the Dragon appeared, sowing terror throughout the land. Valiantly, the kingdom fought, claiming narrow victory. Grievously wounded, the Dragon fled. Thenceafter, the years passed, and people again knew peace. Until the Dragon returned. Now the queen gathers adventurers to slay the Dragon... *Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars Chapter 0, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden, and Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden can be enjoyed as standalone adventures. *This app is a one-time purchase. I actually didn't think it would since it's been out on PC for a long time now. Now I need to make some space for this app... Edit: Don't have iOS16 so nevermind then.... Not sure why it would even need iOS16 but ah well CrayonWarrior likes this. doujin New Member Dec 19, 2020 2 0 1 #3 doujin, Mar 25, 2023 Is it include high speed mode? Thanks naghihimutuc Well-Known Member Mar 11, 2020 110 57 28 #6 naghihimutuc, Mar 27, 2023 Can’t play the thing without wifi. Too bad. The game feels pretty good and doesn’t waste any time at all getting you into the meat of things. I guess you could play it with wifi on startup first but I don’t wanna risk messing up my save files if it uploads to cloud instead of your device. skitch Member Nov 17, 2013 13 1 3 #7 skitch, Mar 30, 2023 So I tried it out for you. There are no cloud saves, all is local. It seems that the initial wifi connection is just for the shop features. I am far into the game and my saves are still fine. Probably not the best news but it works still squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,709 1,235 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #8 squarezero, Jul 2, 2023 Took a break from Honkai Star Rail (which is phenomenal, BTW) to give this a run. What a fantastic game! Amazing production values combined with an original and compelling take on card RPG mechanics. Great storytelling, too — the matchup between the “loser” squad against the jerky establishment heroes (who keep getting all the credit) is classic and satisfying. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it does manage to find pathos in the side stories. Highly recommended, especially for folks who are wary of card-based games. You’re well on your way Casket-level salesmanship! Never in my wildest dreams would I have even looked twice at this (I don’t buy squeenix stuff on mobile, usually), but thanks to your post (and a quick read of Mikhail’s review) I’m about to check this bad boy out.
