Now I am feeling really stupid. I cannot find the "File sharing" section. Does this have to first be enabled somewhere?
I don't think so, it should be right here: (I know I don't have VLC there, but it's because I'm using OPlayer instead) Do you have the latest iTunes?
I need your help here. I have the impression that after putting some videos on my touch via vlc filesharing, the next time i plug the ipod in it takes forever to backup. Don't tell me itunes now backups all the videos too?! My HD will be full until next week
It shows up in my app list, but won't install (no checked box) no matter how many times I sync it. I have itouch 3rd gen.
Don't worry, you can still convert your videos with HandBreake or MPEG Streamclip and watch with the built-in video player Honestly I can't see real value in having VLC on my iPad or iPod Touch, I truly don't.
They might be pulling this app soon! Go get it while you still can. Ya, saw it on MacRumors too. Grabbed the updated version as soon as I read the article http://www.macrumors.com/2010/10/31/last-chance-to-get-vlc-for-iphone-ipad-likely-to-be-pulled-from-app-store/
Though there are other apps that do the same as VLC Player, such as Buzz Player, OPlayer. I'm kind of confused as to why VLC Player is getting into trouble.
I'm loving Vlc, watched Ferris Bueler's Day Off .avi for a bit before bed, worked great! Only issue is to let the videos play for a few seconds in portrait mode before switching to landscape if they are encoded in a widescreen format, or it glitches out.
