Thanks to this thread I found out Higurashi. I didint even know what it was but since a few of you liked it and it was free at the time when i checked it, I downloaded it. But I never got around trying it out until last night when I had to delete some stuff so I could install MC2 HD on my iPad. This one at 142 MB was something I was about to delete but thought I should give it a try for atleast a couple of minutes. I didnt even know it wasnt a game. But the story turned out amazing and I'm loving it. Thanks all of you who mentioned it here Now if only the other episodes werent this costly
Any updates on new VNs translated into English? And whatever happened to the English version of Gift? Did it get removed due to the poor translation?
Just notice that there is a visual novel called "The Flower Shop - Summer in Fairbrook". Anyone tried it? Any good?
More VNs in English... (+summary) I collected the list from the thread and added a few (marked with a *) - Bar Oasis - Gift (eng) (apparently no longer in store, was nice tho) - Higurashi When they cry - Imaginary range (*) - Kira kira - My neighbor girl (has lite version) (*) - Phantom seeds (free) (*) - Phoenix Wright - School 26 (*) - The Flower Shop - Summer in Fairbrook - Twilight Cherry - Utakata: The Ephemeral Sky - Watson: The beginning (*) I updated the translation for Twilight Cherry, so I hope you will find it improved (I'm dropping a few promo codes in the promo codes section, plz don't ask for codes here) - feedback would be welcome
I have it. Didn't get too far yet but it is decent overall, and fairly well written--the story is typical teen drama stuff. There aren't a lot of dialogue options so I don't know how much difference your choices make. I also own School 26 (http://appshopper.com/games/school-26) which is aimed at young girls but is unique enough to be worth a try if you are willing to sacrifice your masculinity for it. It has surprisingly mature themes for a game for tween-age kids. I am a 26-year-old woman and I enjoyed it quite a bit. And then there's SquareEnix's new comic thing. Was that mentioned here already? http://appshopper.com/games/imaginary-range Oh, and thanks for the list, Tea. I like this genre so will have to give some of those a try.
Downloaded bar oasis yesterday and played it for 2 hours straight. I like it so far, but i'm hoping the story picks up, like higurashi. Also like the fact that there a list of drinks on how to make them, shich you can use in real life
