That actually looks fun. Most word games (save for Textroplis and Stitch'em Words) are not entertaining.

Pablo, thanks for the embedded link. I'm lazy. This word game looks fun and pretty unique, i'm actually getting *somewhat* excited about it. What's the introductory price?

You wrap the tag around your video ID, which is the random letter formation after ?v= in the URL.

In your case: aRkYiOMuAdc

I haven't yet made a final decision on the price. I am currently leaning toward $2.99. I have no plans to make a free version.

haha. good move :D

I must admit, its a very good idea i mean the structure of the game must of been well thought out.

Did you have any inspiration to create the games structure?

hmmm... $2.99? i'm sure the game is worth the amount, but what i've noticed lately that more developers are doing is have an introductory period to generate buzz and great reviews on iTunes. for me when a game I'm not as instrested in becomes available for a limited time at .99 cents - i'll buy it feeling like a got a great deal knowing the price will eventually increase. just something to think about....

Well I suppose the game is inspired in part by "Upwords" and in part by "Scrabble", but it's really different from both of them.

Before starting to program the game we spent time with a version of the game we made with paper cards to work out the rules.

I'm really happy with how fun the game turned out to be. It was hard to strike a balance between keeping the rules simple and keeping the game challenging.

It's not meant to be a showstopper with amazing 3D graphics. We just worked hard to make the game itself fun. I hope iPhone gamers will appreciate it.

I feel this will become a big hit in the word catergory ;)

Planning on introductory prices and updates?

sorry for the questions, but if i have to buy a game, i need to know if it worth it (i am very picky) :p

That's a good point, Rhino. That is indeed what many developers are doing, and it's a strategy I've followed with some of my other apps.

However, I believe that in general this strategy sounds better in theory than it works out to be in practice. In reality most iPhone games are not profitable. There is a definite risk, in fact a likelihood, that Moxie will not be profitable either.

But I think $2.99 is a fair price for a game that last many hours longer than a Big Mac ever will. Maybe no one will buy it, but if I'm going to be unprofitable anyways, I'd rather do it with some self-respect! :)

thats ok no problem :D

I shall be looking forward to some of the updates

ALREADY HAVE AN IDEA:
based on the sneak preview you gave us, possibly be able to remove letters aswell as replacing them this will make it more strategic.
Also have different themes, for example, the video has a wodden board theme so you could have a concrete theme or marble and that would attract paying customers like me.

Just some suggestions, i like to keep the devs notified :p

Great ideas! I had to laugh when I read this because my main beta tester has been after me since the beginning to allow you to remove letters! :D

haha. :D

Well its kinda true!

Maybe have difficulties, that way easy mode enables removing letters, hard does not :)

That way customers can have a good selection of difficulty :)

Moxie Moxie Moxie. Must buy. Must buy. Must buy.

20. Looks good can we do longer than 5 letter words though? 6, 7 would be nice....8 might be stretching it.
