Had a chance to play this one tonight. I actually like the turned based fighting mechanics. The only issue I've been running across are the controls during the "top-down" sections. It was tough tapping around on an iPad trying to find switches. You had to be perfect when touching certain areas too. I think a "tap and hold" control scheme would probably fix everything. Other than that, it's a pretty solid game so far.
I only mean that I don't want to buy a game and get only discomfort. I only want to buy games which can bring me some fun, even if it only has 10min or less length. I've gotten no fun in Victorious Knight, so even 2$ I don't want pay for it. I don't know where does your thought come from, so, you just go eat your shit and be your dog, don't spout everywhere.
Thank You Hi Repulsa, thanks for the kind feedback and your device compatibility info The 1.4 update includes a tiny performance fix in the final stage for the iPad Mini 4. I'll include the iPad Mini 4, in the supported device list when Build 1.5 is available, which is scheduled to be uploaded sometime next week.
Well, thank you for replying. I have no doubt, when I return to this game in half a year, you will have improved a lot of stuff - not going to be asking for a refund, as I said, even if I don't like the game in its current state, it is clear that you are a one man team and really care about the game. A lot of credit for that! Some more - hopefully - constructive critism to help you improve. I actually fell of the platform in the tutorial, and there isn't a way to get up but to restart the game. After that it was sour grapes for me. The turn based scissors-paper-rock I found confusing - I lacked in the beginning a feeling of knowing if eg. adding block will help the counter the next move or if the opponent attacks always (does that make sense?) and honestly the icons for the fights and in general seemed too much like 90's MS Windows stuff being all neon-ish and out of touch with the fantasy theme of the game (might just me me as an old editor & graphics guys), so I stopped caring, and then on iPad Air 2 I really missed anti aliasing. The chests should be ready to open just by touching. And perhaps a virtual joypad. Everyone to his own taste. Now at least you have a bit more feedback from someone appreciating you as a developer.
Thanks Again Hi Leegames, thanks for the kind reply, and much more thanks on the valuable feedbacks. When I read you fell of the platform I felt funny and embarrassed at the same time. The level has been re-consutructed to overcome the issue, shall the incident happened again to other players. As for the combat UI, yes, I myself admit that it's not quite fit in, a redesigned Battle Sequence UI is currently on the making. As for the AA, I'm still considering MSAA to be added as that feature cannot be toggled during gameplay/ in real time. All changes will be included in Build 1.5 Blocking - active block, only blocks the next attacks, up to two attacks, and the chance to trigger a counter attack is the same (starting at 20%) with passive block (blocks incoming attacks, 30% chance at start). I hope I explained it right. Thanks again for taking the time to provide all your feedback, it is much appreciated.
Hi NOEN, thanks for the feedback. I've decided to add a toggle-able joystick on screen during exploration to overcome the issue that you're facing, and I guess other players too. This will be added in Build 1.5
Hi stubbieoz, the game time can be vary, it can be an hour or two or even more. As for the Battle Map, it actually stretches more to the right, can be viewed by swiping left. Sorry that I missed your post earlier.
Update 1.5 Coming Soon Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a blasting weekend! Dropping by to share a little update, which I tweeted earlier. VK will have its casual dungeon exploration in build 1.5. Screenshot below is the main dungeon, or I'd say 'Grand Hall', which holds multiple mini levels/maps entry points.
1.5 Update Is Now Live The game has been updated to 1.5. Casual dungeon exploration with 25 stages included in the update. 50% Off for a limited time! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Short Release Notes: http://tzenku.com/vk-1-5/
I am interested in the game, seems like the updates addressed some concerns from before. Anybody tried it yet with the new update? Would you recommend it? Why, why not? As for the dev, how long will the sale last? Cheers!
Hi stubbieausi, Thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry that you're experiencing these flashes. I'm suspecting these flashes only happens on the UI during 'Battle Sequence'? Or, was it in all gameplay mode? - dungeon run/ pre-battle-map roam? If it's not too much trouble, do provide more info on this flashes issue so I can work on fixes. I don't have an iPad Pro to test on, but I did noticed the flashes from gameplay videos made by users on the Youtube. It's not constant, it happened randomly and only on the UI, not fullscreen. However, I'm not experiencing it on iPhone 6 Plus and iPad 3/4.
Feedback Hi Everyone, below image is the 'Grand Hall', (I tweeted it earlier), the casual dungeon mode that has been added in 1.5 update. This update was to address the lack of gameplay hours expressed by users during initial launch. I'd like to have some feedback about the dungeon gameplay, if anyone has any. Any kind of feedback are appreciated, as those feedback will be taken into consideration when the next build is implemented - another 15 mini stages/levels. Any feedback are appreciated. And thank you for those who purchased, I hope you're having fun with the new update. Thanks.
Promo Weekend. Hi everyone, the 50% off promotion will last the whole weekend and will end on June 21st, UTC. This applies to Android version too. Have a great weekend, and thanks.
