Victorious Knight is quite casual and light RPG type. Perhaps more depths can be added in future updates.
No magic, it's a traditional sword and board. I do however consider greatly to add executable/active skill - special move when some type of 'vengeance bar' is full, that's in future updates.
is the graphics shown on the 4th screenshot is real? because i didnt see any real time shadow from the trailer posted on the first page.
The real time shadow for characters suppose to be available both during exploration and combat. However, due to latest Unreal Engine 4 decision - to provide much more 'stable' shadows for characters to be made available in UE4.12.X , I've disabled the shadows temporarily for release, until the game is ported to new UE4.12.X release in near future. The game currently powered with UE4.11.X
I've installed this game and played almost half an hour. Hear is my simple review. Victorious Knight doesn't worth 1.99$. Though powered by Unreal 4, it's frames are still full of sawteeth on my iPad, don't know where does the large size(700MB) come from. The handle is also terrible, it's kind of point&click with bugs, when I want to open a treasure chest, I have to get into front of the cheat first, and then click at the chest, I can't just click at the chest. What's more, the fighting process is fully self-acting, terribly boring! No music when exploring, only stupid and single music when fighting. Short and barren story. When I was playing, some frames lost, and the game was stuck for a second, maybe my iPad Air2 is too old. Victorious Knight is far more worse than Infinity Blade I, II ,III. What Victorious Knight has is only the skin of RPG.
It is sad to hear that the game is not worth the fortune of $1.99. For the high sum one would thought the game would be ultra polished and give a 300+ hour story worth of content. Developers should be ashamed of themselves. How do they dare?
Hi Wicuicad, I'm sorry that you had terrible experience with the game on your device. Unfortunately, iPad Air series and iPad Mini series are yet to be listed in supported devices. To add, comparing this game with Infinity Blade series that was developed by a team full of professionals vs one person is a bit, well, too much? (and I'm not sure why people do this comparison a lot) The game was never intended to replicate/rivalling Infinity Blade's series outstanding gameplay experiences. Anyways, any feedback are welcomed, and will be taken into consideration in improving the game for future updates.
Tell me about it. For $2 the game should be console grade and offer every aspect of the best RPg ever made....lol... My hats off to the Dev..your active in forum and take all criticism with a brush of the shoulder. Keep up good work and stay focused on what your doing. Victorious Knight is well worth the price and offers exactly what's in description. Your gonna go places #
People like this make me sick, and I just ate lunch. 1.99 for a game with a dev team consisting of one and trying to compare the game to the infinity blade series which was developed by a large studio and featured by Apple upon the launch of several of their phones. So yes, the game doesn't quite meet IB standards... I can't for the life of me figure why all mobile games would want to be free to play when morons complain about a 2 dollar price tag.
Thanks for the review. Got the game anyways, and honestly wish I hadn't. I am not sure why you get so much anger for your review, I think it was spot on. Surely 1.99 isn't much, but when you get an experience you delete after ten minutes, surely the money could be better spent elsewhere. And after all isn't that what is forum is for? So people can give an opinion about the games instead of just being angry over F2P or vice versa? Nice to see the developer participate in this thread though. I wish I had more positive thing to say about the game. As a one man project there is a lot of love here! And still impressive for a first game. Now to the hard part of polishing it up. But after fifth or so battle, some bugs and a feeling I was playing a discount IB I simple did not want to play it anymore. I know it seems unfair to compare for some people, but then again if you have the choice as a buyer, I see little reason to get this instead of IB. And I see no reason not to compare the two, as it is clearly in the same genre of experiences.
Upcoming Update 1.4 Victorious Knight, Build v1.4 will include under-the-hood optimisation to address performances issues on iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4. The build has been submitted and currently waiting for review. For iPad Air 1 and iPad Mini 3 /and below, supports for these devices may continue not to be available.
Just to say, I have not had any problems playing on my iPad mini 4. I'm still enjoying the hell out of this game, I actually like that this game is not too intense with a story line or anything. It is very casual and pick up and play. I am super busy and I love games I can just play for a few min here and there and as far as that sort of game goes this one is great
Thank you for the honest feedback and comment. I believe, each person has their own opinion onto something, thus I'm looking at it/leaving it as it is, and embracing/absorbing it, which, in a way, could help improving the app itself.
How many hours gameplay can be expected? From the YouTube gameplay video I watched the map looks very small with only a handful of playable areas.
