Hi all. I just wanted to offer a preview and gather some feedback on our second title, Vex Blocks - hopefully to be launched in the next few weeks for iOS and Android. Vex Blocks is a action/puzzler with a few different game modes. Timed/Freeplay/Arcade/Puzzle. The goal is to match up blocks by symbol, color or both to create as long a lightning chain as possible. Alternatively, gain extra points by creating a chain that links back to it's point of origin for extra points or to remove obstacles such as bomb blocks or dead blocks. Earn coins in the game to purchase powerups that will help keep the game going and rack up the score. I've come up with a number of Achievements as well that will give you a nice little coin boost for use on powerups or unlocking puzzle packs and game modes. Timed mode and Freeplay are pretty self explanatory. Keep going until either the time runs out or you're out of moves. Puzzle mode has 80 puzzles in total available for launch. Use your phone rotation to mix up the playing board and clear out the blocks using a limited amount of lightning chains. Arcade mode is more of a tetris style experience. Don't let the screen fill up as you work towards clearing enough blocks to get to the next stage while the speed increases, as does the likelihood of bomb blocks and dead blocks falling in. What else? We've worked in a Facebook Challenge mode to let you challenge your friends to beat your score to earn some extra coins. "Pay to win" isn't a model we agree with so we wanted to make sure the playing field is level. If you use powerups, when you challenge another player they'll automatically have access to the exact same powerups as the ones you used. That's about it. We're a team of two at the moment so we're not a big developer by any stretch of the imagination. We haven't had a chance to get this game in front of many yet so I'm very interested in any feedback that you'd be willing to provide. We've got zero marketing budget for when the game is released so we're relying on social media to help spread the word. If you like what you see we'd greatly appreciate it if you helped raise awareness of our product. The game will have a paid option with all modes and puzzle packs unlocked, no ads and a bunch of coins to start with. An ad supported free version will also be available with Arcade mode and two of the three puzzle packs locked. Earn coins playing the game or purchase coins and spend them on whatever you want to in the game. No matter how many coins you buy, we'll remove the ads at that point. As a small, unknown developer with no marketing budget it's difficult to compete against the myriad of other free to play games out there so offering a free to play option and a paid option seemed the best course of action.
