Hey it's been a while since I made my last game (Only One) , but long story short, I'm back and I'm here with something simple, adrenaline inducing and casual. And it's.... Vortexika An original endless space shooter Fly a and shoot through obstacles, asteroids and nasty space bots, picking up power ups and money to upgrade your ship. Steer your ship by swiping left/right in a circle Tap to shoot your canon Death is instant, but armor grants you a free hit 100 levels, waypoints at every 10 levels Failure to complete a level 25% of the way drops your progress Pick up disposable armor that covers your ship and grants you one free hit Pick up bullets that give you a spread fire with limited ammo Currency to pay for skins, upgrades, armor/bullet boosts, revives and recovering lost level progress Leaderboards and gamepad support Game is currently awaiting Apple's review process and will also be available on Google Play
Hey thanks, I kept trying to make new makes but had a few failed projects a also took a full time gamedev job at one point. The last engine I used for Only One is kinda defunct now so I had to get familiar with Unity and this is the first complete game I built and should prove to be a stepping stone for future projects. I definitely want to make something like Only One again, but in a more sci fi setting.
I really appreciate the info you are sharing. I was wondering if you post dev videos? I’ve been thinking about creating a game for years but devs sharing videos seems to help mostly when making important decisions. And by the way, a sci-fi version of Only One would be an excellent idea! I could imagine so many new moves, sounds, and effects in a space/ low gravity setting. I’ll admit, the name itself, Only One, was the hook for me being a fan of the Highlander. Are there any cool space movie references in mind for a potential sci-fi version of the game?
Not sure, but I have an abundance of ideas. I strive to make action games with intensity and strategy. We'll see
