Thus, the first crack in nintendo's barrier has been broken.

Holy hell that's awesome! That could only mean that it could come to the US (and others) app store down the road too! Can't believe that has happened though... thought Nintendo and The Pokemon Company would never have allowed it.

I hope this is the first step twards Nintendo realizing emulating NES games on a device with no buttons isn't going to cut into 3DS sales. Sony's aggressive Andriod + Vita strategy is one if the smartest things they've done in years.

^ Yup, I think this is the most significant part this announcement.

I'm feeling the effect of that crappy Monster Hunter iOS game all over again.

All I think it means for the App Store is that every game developer on the planet knows they can use it to squeeze money out of existing fanbases while carefully avoiding drawing attention away from the hardware they themselves are pushing.

I mean come on, take Pokemon out of the name and it sounds like crap. A game about timing your taps? It'll probably be a million seller, and not because of the gameplay. It's almost insulting.

It's another Pokemon Spin-off >.< A decision from Pokemon Company itself instead of Nintendo. Waiting for what's coming next.

I didn't think this would happen either. I guess it's good. Never really cared about Pokemon spinoffs other than the Mystery Dungeon series.

Except they're putting it out for free, which I find very puzzling. You'd think they'd want to make a profit out of this.

Either way, it might only be released in the Japan store.

    Yawn.

Right now, I seriously can't think of another piece of "news" that would have less of an effect on my life.
