What have you guys heard about it? I'm due for an upgrade in late March, and I really want it because it looks sick. What are your thoughts on it?
Just getting prepared: Wait until the next iphone event to see if there is any mention of Verizon iphone, you will be pissed if they announce one a few months after you upgrade, I know I will be(I have the droid), but I will still pay the ETF
That's the thing though, Idk if I even want the iPhone. I thought about it for awhile but...Idk. I'll be getting a 3G Touch within the next month or so, and I always have WiFi so no need for an iPhone. Still not sure though. Does the Droid have the txt conversations laid out like the iPhone? That's one thing I hate- backtracking between inbox/sent to read a conversation. When is the iPhone event?
Iphone event is sometime Late June/Early July; yeah the droid has text conversations on one page; for me, the lack of any good apps or games and the need to carry my phone and ipod is enough to make me switch to iphone if they offer it.
I can't wait that long, my Dare is on it's last stretch of life lol. So the lack of apps is your main gripe?
That, no multitouch and carrying two devices(off the top of my head), I did have some issues with it, but a system reset fixed it.
Ok none of that bothers me, I've been carrying around both devices for about a year now. I actually prefer it, because if I had an iPhone, it'd be dead 90% of the time from me playing games too much lol.
Hate that phone. It's been holding up pretty well, though, considering the abuse I've been giving it. Can't wait to get a new phone this summer, though. As for the iPhone, eh, the only reason I don't see me getting it is because of the battery life. Charging it every day, eh... Not that I would turn it down if I were offered it... The Droid, a friend thought it was fantastic, but just too freakin' bulky.
Yea mine's been a trooper too. Its survived water, countless drops, general abuse, and its been ran over [screen didn't crack] So I can't give it too much shit, its done its job lol. But battery life is also the main thing that puts me off of the iPhone. I haven't had too much time to play with the Droid, but it didn't seem too bulky. I've been wanting a qwerty keyboard for awhile too.
Cough*Switch to AT&T*Cough If you want to stay with Verizon wait for the Nexus One to be released, the droid is old news.
AT&T sucks immensely. I can't wait that long, its not due to be out till spring and..I don't think I can last that long with my current phone.
