    Tomorrow at sunset North America will be able to see Venus cross the sun, as the moon does during an eclipse. This is rare and the next occurrence will be 2117! Read more here. Be careful and use precaution when looking at the sun! Good luck!

    Interesting Cyg, wasn't even aware of this rare occurrence.
    Not noteworthy enough to be even on the news?

    I saw the last one using a friend's telescope with a special filter. Don't think I'll be able to see this one due to the cloudy weather...

    This was cool but the big eclipse in 2017 is what I'm waiting for.
