i think so:) For me the most successful and innovative top-down shooter control system to-date. Dropship and Blue Defense! come a close joint second, although Dropship is more of a top-down hybrid of sorts..... An absolute bargain...

2079 is not bad. Could use more game modes and more depth. Perhaps a two hand touch control system?

As I understand, Eric, the developer, is thinking of including just that. But give the tilt thing a chance. It really works well once you get the hang of it..

I can just never get into tilt controls.

I know what you mean. Depends on the game. Platformers with tilt don't feel right (Bugdom 2) unless your rolling along like in Rolando. In fact, anything that rolls. Labyrinth was another good one. Racers work well with tilt. Snail Mail got it right. But mostly it's the top-down/side-scrolling stuff that feels most at home with tilt for me. Stuff like 2079, Blue Attack!, Space Ninja, Blue Skies and Chopper.

    What do you think?

I think you're right to some extent. It's rather hard to control something when the screen's perpetually turning. But some games, like Fastlane, really feel right with the tilt controls. And yes, top down shooters often feel weird with tilt. But if you can get used to it, and countless hours of gaming will do that, it's really, really fun.

I know what 2079 is missing, some sort of progression, an adventure / campaign mode. Right now it just feels like PacMan.

The lite version was cool so I bought it for 99 cents. You should try it out.

Right-click on the app in the App-Store and select "Copy iTunes Store URL".

Then in your post here, write out the name of the App, select it and press the "Insert Link" button.
    Looks like this: [IMG]

Paste the link you just copied into the pop-up window that appears, and hit OK.

Your post will now be updated to include the app's link.

    Repeat as necessary... :)

  20. Hi all, just a quick reply to the feedback about 2079 in this thread. I am indeed going to include touch in the next update. I hope at the same time to finally introduce some new modes at the same time as a major update this time!

    Cheers,
    Eric
