yeah, the recent update of Paper Ninja is quite good. I actually enjoy it more than both VS and FN

I love how everybody talks about rip-offs being bad. Look at the AppStore right now. You will see rip-off after rip-off, and while we are on the subject, I guess Monster Dash is just a rip-off of Canabalt? Its stupid, people need to get a grip on their ideas of what the AppStore is, its full of Indie developers and amateurs which is in no way a bad thing but the expectations people have need to drop a bit. When Chinatown wars came out, there was a bunch of people saying it wasn't as good as Gangsta or that it was disappointing, you just paid about $10/£6 for a $40/£30 game. Its a joke. People demanding their money back when they buy a 99.cent game because they didn't read the description properly. God, iPod Touch "gamers" piss me off.

Having played both quite extensively, I personally like Veggie Samurai better. Going for the combos from slicing the veggies multiple times is the big difference. I also like the giant veggies you slice and now the various gameplay modes. But both are alot of fun.

I love how no one was talking about it being ripped off for almost 2 pages now and just comparing the games based on quality itself.

    I prefer Veggie Samurai ... :)
    + Gameplay modes
    + Multiple Slicing
    + Tougher gameplay

Well I started from page one, and read comment after comment about it being ripped off... I should stop having an opinion on something once its gone for 2 pages? GTFO. Another example of a iPod Touch gamer.

Honestly, I had put FN aside and VS is (just barely) different enough that I'm playing it. I like the matching mode, although the precision required is a little off-putting. Beyond that, it really seems like its comparing coke to pepsi. Some people like unlockables (they make me snooze), some people like multislice (I think I like it a little), some people talk about graphics/pace (I cant see any difference in quality) but really, come on, isnt it mostly a pretty darn faithful clone?

I think some people like FN better just because it was first. At the moment, I play VS more just because it came out second.

Fruit Ninja for me. Just taken VS off my phone because I couldn't really get into it.

I never had interest in either one. Then VS went free and I liked it quite a bit so I bought FN last night since it was only $.99. Right now I like them both pretty equally for different reasons. I like the unlockables (although I wish they had some effect on gameplay/difficulty), originality and effects of FN (with the likely addition of new gameplay modes) and I like the numerous modes and multislice in VS. Never heard of Paper Ninja.

Gameplay, art and sound Paper Ninja wins. Paper is more clever as you need to think before you slash. The combo and critical requires skill not like the edibles. The different challenges caters to different mood of yours. The smoothness of the effects of the paper tear is very therapeutic for stress. The list went on.... It is really underrated game.

As for iTunes review, I guess you might not have realized it's flaws that a lot of devs have take advantages.

To paper devs: you better buck up on your marketing or it's gonna be waste paper!

How is classifying me as an iPod Touch user related to any of my comments? Do you hate all iPod Touchers because they are so different from those who use an iPhone or an iPad?
Because I have an iPod Touch, I think way differently than people who have an iPhone or iPad. They are superior to me.
When did iDevices start generating stereotypes?

Another example of a TAer whose name begins with S. :/

Fruit Ninja is definitely a lot more polished than Veggie Samurai. But Veggie Samurai takes Fruit Ninja to the next level. If they combined the 2, it would an epic win.

Veggie samurai in my opinion totally owns fruit ninja. If the two games game out at the exact same time, i believe that veggie samurai would be the one consistently in the top 5 instead of fruit ninja, because everybody was so used to fruit ninja that they coudn't get over the fact that another game actually can be better. Sure, fruit ninja still has blades backrounds and better graphics, but when it comes down to it, the gameplay of vg with 3 extra modes that are all unique, and dicing really sets this game apart. It's going to be interesting to watch how this story unfolds in the coming months as the two games seem to be going different ways with veggie samurai focusing on getting extra content out that might not always be perfect, while fruit ninja seems to be making sure everything that comes out is the way they want it as well as new cosmetic effects.

I myself prefer Veggie Samurai, but the two games couldn't have come out at the exact same time. Why? Because without Fruit Ninja, there'd be no Veggie Samurai ;)

Fruit Ninja' gameplay just feels better than Veggie Samurai's. Plus, the vegetables are unrealistically juicy. I mean, come on, at least Fruit Ninja was honest and their bananas didn't have juice, but Veggie Samurai obviously is oblivious to the laws of vegetable physics. Whenever you bite into a piece of broccoli, do you get splattered with juice? No, no you don't. FN FTW.
