So for a newbie is it recommended just to pick up recommended items until you learn more? That's the sort of stuff that makes mobas overwhelming to me. Learning all the abilities for different heroes and then how to buy what items in what order.
Pretty friendly I think. I'm new and found some great people on the boards to play with Reason I didn't want to get into LoL as well is because if you aren't good, you'll get harassed. The best players in LoL are often the rudest players. This game doesn't have any of that which is great. Also the stat for now only shows wins so it's great that it doesn't make you feel terrible if you win 3 / lose 50. For now it doesn't show how often you lose For a new person I probably would say just pick recommended items. Also you can go into practice mode and read different descriptions and pick the stuff you like to try out.
Yeah the LoL community is super toxic. I hear DOTA is even worse in some ways. Is there a list of people on here I can add as a friend in game? I would love to play some folks on here once I get my feet wet.
In a couple hours I'll make a thread and link it here so people can post their names and talk about partying together since technically this thread is only for actual game discussion. I'm GodKing in-game if you want to add a least one right now. Thanks for waiting
Yeah ranged heroes are kind of easy to pick up! I tried saw and he's pretty easy to use! Ah damn where's Ramza when you need him haha I'm pretty free to play now
Yooo! I'm gonna make the new thread and then I'll be free to play. So probably in about 10 minutes? You wanna try long range now?
Hey guys, this is the Tavern/Friend/Party thread! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=247463 @Lucidra, just post in this thread when you're free! I'll enable alerts so I'll get notifications when people post in that thread.
How is everybody's ping in game? I'm getting awful pings at 300+. I usually am 60 or below in most pc games.
Buttery smooth gameplay on LTE and WiFi, occasional spikes of 300+ - 8000 (when I'm on the subway) on 3G
oh man I had the craziest match. I had a Taka on my team and a Joule on the opposing team. Battle of the top tier. In the end, Taka won. I think Taka might just be the best because he can dodge death easily and criticals often. Joule I think looks better but she doesn't have the evasiveness that Taka has. The Taka on my team was great. He did the basic strategy of jungling then when he saw a big match up on the lane he'd pop in and kill the enemy, then go back and do his thing. It's much easier to do this when you can run away easily.
For everyone who is residing outside South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand and are playing the game as of now, do check this thread out. It is important. http://forums.vainglorygame.com/index.php?threads/how-to-get-your-profile-migrated-to-a-new-local-server.1623/
^ That's actually pretty important / also bad news. Apparently you're stuck on your current server unless you request them to change. After you change you lose all your friends. And basically you can only play with people that are on your server so people on TA won't be able to play with each other depending on what server they're on :\ I guess everyone has to decide. I'll have to switch because I'm often getting the low ping sign in the corner (though 95% of my games have been smooth).
Hey guys! Appusan, thanks for the news. Yeah, looks like i wouldn't be able to play with you guys when i switch to EU, but Lawliet and Lucidra, you had maches between 5-8 am my time, and i was waiting for ou to show up way before that.. so i guess our timezones are really not so compatible damn! Edit:i just woke up and i can't type
Well we can keep two accounts. Only problem is your karma / unlocks aren't shared but that's the only way we can still play together. We should figure out what servers we all plan on going to just so we all know. Ramza I made a party thread (link on previous page). Post there whenever you're free to play. If I'm available or someone else is, we'll reply
joined Eh, i am beginning to be sceptical about VG, because i noticed the same thing : Taka and Joule are OP, and they are the most expensive. So what happens in the MOBA genre, if we give money and buy a Taka and Joule, the devs will release even more OP and more expensive characters later? I have no idea how the F2P MOBAS work... if that's the case i might as well drop this game now.
I am also skeptical but I think if the game gets big enough they'll have to fix the balancing issues. Imagine if LoL has a couple characters that you could pay money for and they're a different tier than the rest? There'd be a lot of complaints. I'm hopeful they'll just fix it up soon. And this is probaly the best if it's kind right now on iOS so we don't really have any alternatives :/
