Yeah I just succumbed to the fact that most people are going to lock lane or jungle so I started playing strictly roam. Fortress is by far my best/favorite roamer. In the rare occasion that I get to play as a jungler I've found that Fortress is more than capable of filling that role so that's nice. Now when it comes to playing in the lane that something different all together.
They've released a ton about Lance. The released the splash art for both Lance and Lyra, Lance abilities, and a 8 second clip of Lance
Lane is my weakest toohard to get practice. That said, I have been having good luck with Skaarf! Knock on wood... The way I sometimes get to play other roles is by soft locking jungle or lane. Once on a while someone lets me have it. If not, I haven't instalocked and will play Support. Usually Phinnbecause Ardan is my main and I don't want my casual Elo elevated too high!
Wouldn't spend money on her. She's definitely at the bottom of the list of characters I want. Right down there with Adagio.
Been playing for about 6 months now and have 364 wins. Up to bronze credible threat. Pretty neat to actually be able to see your progress on the Halcyon Fold.
Thanks, Fangbone, for pointing out the FREE card box currently in the shop. You can claim it until it's empty but it won't reset. Some very valuable cards in there!
Really liking all of these quests. The chests for your karma level are cool as well. Opened all of my chests and now have 21-22000 glory, went from 32 to 795 ice, got tons of cards which I destroyed and now have like 1200 essence, and got 7 1/2 days of bonus glory. The new hero seems really strong as well. Didn't get him but played with or against him 3 times tonight. Definite glory purchase next week.
The new stuff seems great! No more rank loss for teammate AFKs! Tip (I think?): I'm not opening all my old chests at once. Because some are timed bonuses (like 12 hours double glory). Why stack them all when I can't use them for so many hours straight? better to claim right before a play session. (Make sense?)
Picked up Phinn and Skye today with glory. Also got both of their tier 1 skins using essence. Still have enough glory to get the new hero when he becomes available to buy with glory next week and enough essence to make quite a few more tier 1 skins #
It's good to try unfamiliar heroes thanks to BR. But so far the only one I've gained a new appreciation for is Reim. So many heroes seem completely useless at first! 7 minutes is not sufficient time to say that of course.
Lance...ugh. He does such a negligible amount of damage. I've seen some people do well with him but I can't seem to do a thing with him. Another hero I wish I wouldn't have wasted glory on.
Sometimes I win with Lance, but there are heroes I just don't get. Even when they work well it doesn't feel obvious why. Taka, Blackfeather, Ozo, Alpha, Fortress and Vox are the same for me. Kestrel and Glaive are borderline. But thanks to Battle Royale, I've found some new heroes that DO click: Reim, Skye and Adagio. And WP petal. Skye's ult with 2 Clockworks and and a Shatterglass is pretty monstrous. Almost no downtime, massive damage/slow. And 3 slots left to tank up with!
