Started using Ardan more in the past couple days. Doing pretty well with him. Roll with mostly defensive type items but also throw in tornado trigger to up my dps and lower the cool down on his offensive attack
Ardan is my favorite, I get 3 defense items (Fountain for sure, others as needed) plus boots and Contraption (endless mines/flares but many other benefits too). Towards the end, I add some damage (and boost the crystal power of my support abilities) with an Aftershock. Which also shortens my ability cooldowns. More shields, more fences! I get the cooldown items first when building the Aftershock, and the crystal last, because the more often I can boost teammates or trap enemies, the better—my actual damage is never going to be massive. Two tips for people playing WITH an Ardan: 1. Don't stand/walk right on him. He can't aim his Vanguard if you do. 2. In a hurry? Ardan following behind you? Stop for just a moment and he can give you a speed boost, while also jumping himself ahead. But only if you let him get within his ability range. I've been branching out to Phinn. Many people don't realize he can deliver a health shield much like Ardan—but the visual is more subtle and easy to overlook in the chaos.
I'm new to Vainglory and MOBAs in general. As a new player with no one to team with, I'm finding matchmaking in Casual to be really frustrating. It's usually a situation where the opposing team has more coordination and mine is all over the place. They get the upper hand and suddenly one of my teammates goes AFK. At that point, me and the other guy have to waste the next 15 or 20 minutes grinding out a lost match. Really sucks. In other online games, like shooters or Rocket League, when someone goes AFK they are usually replaced with another player in good time, or at least replaced with a bot. In this game you're just straight up screwed.
Join the TouchArcade ([Whoa]) guild It's blind luck in solo queue and there can be random streaks of bad matches. Very disheartening when it happens. I like the idea of letting other people fill in for an AFK! I just suggested that in the official SEMC forum. Tip: on the scoreboard screen is a Surrender button. It appears as soon as a player is detected as being AFK. (And appears at 15 minutes even if no AFK.) Hit that, and if your teammate agrees, you're out! No need to wait, and no karma penalty--in fact you get the Glory reward that any loss has. (But guild matches do not earn fame XP for surrenders... so in the case of a guild match, you'd want to stick it out to the bitter end.) After an AFK, I usually try to keep playing 2v3 IF we were doing well. Sometimes you can win. (And sometimes they actually come back, although it's still a disadvantage.)
Game mode is battle royale. For this patch it's only in private. You can't enter jungle and you get a random hero. You start with 2,500 gold. The only way to recall or buy items is to die so you don't buy items until you die. Alpha is a warrior for the jungle.

The point is i am not afraid of 2v3, my pub team mates gave up & went afk too after one go afk or he starts feeding...
Actually u get much decent team mates when you are lower tier its unbelivable but trust me. Casual has no barrier, they match vainglorious players against hotness players. Well my friends on my list is vainglorious tier & he got matched up against me in casual. The casual matchups can match anyone lol. one day i added a dude on my game after a decent win on casual, guess what he's not bad tier. That's 3-4 tiers apart & they simply match u together. Well this matchmake is really broken right now, best is improve your skill. Your matchmaker rating is still low so u get better team mates to compensate. Once you grinded to higher ones, they start making u cannon fodders for pre made games. Best is to find a decent guild ASAP if your not too skilled starting Pretty Good level. Once your skill improves, change to a much better one at hotness tier to grind u up to SA tier. SA tier will open up path to top guilds in the game, get into one matchmaking wont be a huge issue anymore. Even if your guild mates are not online, you would have added other elite players to party. There's plenty of fun Just avoid solo at all costs.
I heard people on the forum mentioning it. Well some players on the beta server must have leaked the info. Well 5v5 might be taxing on low ram device & possibly more lag but at least there's more chance for winning because of more spell combi & now there's 2 more ally. Hmm i wonder how they fit 5v5 on this small map, probably the company is secretly making a map with 2 lanes for that.
Just had to ditch my first match ever. Family duties called. Hope my karma level doesn't take a hit. Whelp
Is there a TA guild? I'm in low tier elo hell right now and it's extremely frustrating consistently getting grouped with people who clearly have no idea what they are doing. I dropped an entire tier today and lost 5 out of 8 games so far. I'm not sure if the game is flooded with people coming back for crazy 8s or the spring promo or what but it's been ridiculously hard to get a decent match in solo q. Anyway my ign is Nasty Nubs, I'm T4 silver and dropping
Yes there is a TA guild. Shoot me a friend request and its an open guild so you just have to click join the guild.
Heads up! Guaranteed cards of increasing rarity for 24 hours, starting this evening at 5pm Pacific, 8 Eastern. Cards for every win up to the 8th, which gives you a Legendary. And between now and the start of that Crazy 8 card event, 2-parties get double glory and 3-parties get triple (for non-private matches of any kind).
