The NA server is their main sever. How come you have difficulty in finding match ?

I'm sorry, I meant an actually fun match. The majority of the time, I would sit there for about 1 minute waiting and then someone would ditch.

Takes me a while to find matches as well. Sometimes I find one but someone just declines. I'll never understand why people queue then just ditch or decline. :(

There is a segment of the population that will "queue dodge" if they see someone on their team they don't want to play with, but they get a penalty. Other times, they are just confused.

If you rank up your tier and karma, people almost never skip a game or AFK. I have had about 1 AFK in the last 50 games and only a couple queue dodgers.

I've been trying to up my tier, but get stuck with confused or legit trolls that wander from lane to enemy jungle and get killed, then "?" Ping me like why didn't you follow me? Or playing with support players that build their Catherine or wolf like junglers. I just can't figure it out. If you say you're going to support then build support, otherwise pick jungle and I'll build according regardless of my character.

One match I played lane and my team picked two support characters. Neither one of them came up to help when I got ganged up on or laid traps when I needed to hit the shop up. And even crazier... they weren't supporting each other. I would fly down quickly to help while the other would run away to camp.

I'm tier 6 trying hard to get back up to tier 7. I was a couple games away from reaching it and then got teamed up with a non support Catherine and a wandering Glaive. Smh... I may not always have the performances of a life time, but I do try to play with my team and not go for moments of glory. I mainly play Catherine and like to support my jungle and lane and sometimes make bad calls, but jeez all mighty! There's only so much a Catherine can do without the whole team coming together.

I mostly play adagio when I'm not wanting to play krul or taka or anything else, I love being a support character. But for me it's most annoying when someone actually plays support but has next to no impact on the game and when they follow you around the jungle and steal last kills.

Although I haven't played much at all in a few months now, before that I lived on the game, I do need to get back into it.

I sometimes see "Support" characters, with Ironguard Contracts, who get FURIOUS if you come anywhere near them! Woe betide you, as jungler, if you kill a monster and earn them their Ironguard reward. Time for the ? purple rain.

I also see people who use the yellow "warn!" ping to mean "go here now!" and get furious when you don't immediately run to the yellow ping.

But most people have it together!

I maxed Karma months ago and I still see AFKs maybe 1 game in 6. Sometimes they return later in the game. So an AFK can simply mean a connection problem.

I pretty much always get the iron guard contract. I also hate the pings asking me to go places some people need mental help, I can be doing the jungle and someone goes bezerk spamming because I didn't instantly drop everything and run to the lane for no reason.

Also when people spam click for help in the lane when they are at the enemy base but I'm soloing the kraken with krul which in my eyes is more of a benefit to get that and then travel up there. I prefer my team to go up there to hold the enemy away.

So I decided to try out Catherine in a match (I usually go Adagio when I play support), and she is AMAZING. Her second ability (Stormguard) is so good. I easily soloed Kraken twice in that match and managed to kill the entire enemy team. I can't believe I underestimated her when I first started Vainglory.

Never tried Catherine, but she must be popular for a reason!

I should add another Jungler to my skill set, so I think I'll try another hero that seems popular: Taka.

Cath and Ringo are the two characters that the developers balance the meta game around. They should always be viable and usually near the top of support and ranged. That being said, I never have gotten used to playing either of them :-/

Ardan is my go-to support and Skaarf or Joule are who I like for laning. Unfortunately they are not always as viable, and are much harder to really play well (thanks to skillshots), as Cath and Ringo.

I saved up 6,000 glory since I needed to buy another jungler, but I can't decide between Krul or Taka. Any suggestions?

Well I haven't played much in a while so unsure of the current metagame but I own all heroes bar the newest one.

Krul and Taka are probably two of my most played, if you know how to build them up they are both awesome depending on your enemies and their skill level also. Krul is a great tank and you can even solo the kraken with him and slaughter a lot of players, sometimes all at once he is probably my favourite or close to it.

Taka is completely different relies on being sneaky although with Krul the speed boost for hiding gives inventive to be sneaky too. But Taka you want high burst damage generally I just surprise people and kill them quick, often jumping out into a group to kill the weakest target and then vanishing.

Surprisingly many players hardly ever use flare after you vanish so it's a great escape ability even when bumping into the whole enemy team. Although the skill levels are new since I last played properly so I imagine use of flares is dependant on your skill level.

For high ELO, Taka is played more than Krul. Both are crazy effective at low ELOs but struggle at higher tiers when people counter Taka with lots of mine and flares, and counter Krul with Aegis. Krill is a warrior and Taka is an assassin. Which do you prefer?

I think I prefer assassin, since I usually like to play Koshka whenever I jungle (I believe Koshka is an assassin). I don't think I've played a warrior before.

Yeah. I like playing Koshka, and Taka is a lot of fun too. The biggest thing to keep in mind with Taka, is to keep your Ki stacks up to increase your crit chance, so you are ready when you attack a hero. With Taka, you are probably gonna want to go WP items, not CP items like you do on Koshka. Also, Koshka can take a decent amount of damage, and even be a support, Taka is much more squishy and needs to rely on his box, and dodging attacks with his flip. I think you will enjoy him! =)

Thanks. Out of curiosity, which item do you think would be better to use with Taka: Tyrant's Monocle or Tornado Trigger? I want to have an item that increases critical chance, but I'm not planning on using both at the same time.

Some people swear by Tension Bow first. I would go Tornado Trigger. Keep in mind that he has a GUARANTEED crit frequently, so the more attacks you can land, the faster the guaranteed builds. To me, that is more important than upping the crit chance. Keep in mind, that I am no Taka expert. =) Check out some builds on Vainglory Fire and you should be golden.

I've only seen Ringo not available once. (And since I always want to have a Lane hero I know available, I bought him. Never thought I'd have to buy Ringo! He was cheap though. I'll buy Celeste some other time.)

I'm thinking Joule can be OK in the jungle, if I ever have to be Jungle and the one I own (Koshka) has been taken. I used to always play Joule in the jungle... until late game when I would chomp through the lane. Now they've reclassified Joule as Lane, but she still seems flexible. The jumping is even more useful in the jungle than the lane.

Joule is awesome. She can do great in lane since she can constantly poke the enemy, and she is good in jungle, and decent as support. One of the only characters (other than Glaive and Adagio, that is decent in each role). I much prefer her as a WP laner, since her B ability, when maxed, can crib for insane damage. Get her crits up and hit heroes for 50% of their health with 1 B skill!
