Anyone that watched the twitch that can reveal his abities and heroic? Stuck in work so missed it. Any date announced for him?
Has the AFK problem in this game gotten better? I loved it, but stopped playing after experiencing 4 straight AFK S.
I haven't had any for a long time, they said it takes much less to be considered a afk player and you'll only be grouped with other afk players until you prove you can consistently finish games. So yes for me I next to never get any of them in my games now.
Just got destroyed because a team mate thought it'd be a good idea to try and solo the kraken and I'm too much of an idiot to leave a man behind. Pretty much just softened him up for the other team to swoop in, finish everybody off, and then March with the kraken to our last two towers. I can't imagine how many bad players chase people off of these games. I'm not expert, but hell, at least I try.
I also hate poor allies it makes the game so frustrating! The kraken can be soloed with a few heroes I've done it with Krul and Taka so far although Krul is by far the easiest! That said I wait until the enemy team is all dead or my two other team members are keeping them held back at their gate usually.
Yeah, he just sort of started attacking him out of nowhere. Our other team mate was in the lane getting decimated by the other team, so he ended up choosing the worst possible moment. I had multiple matches with AFK players today. :/ I even had one match where BOTH of my team mates went AFK. It really drives me crazy that there is no way to back out of matches like that or to kick/down vote players for that. The karma system just does not feel adequate enough. The game is amazing, but matches happening back to back like that and being forced to sit through each one to completion is just painful.
It is strange how it works with afk, I honestly never have it happen anymore really. But when it use to sometimes it would let you resign as soon as a player was afk but other times it doesn't, it's strange. Maybe sometimes it just doesn't register they are gone.
From the live stream recap: "The video first described Ardans heroic perk, Julias Gift, which lets Ardan regenerate some health whenever he takes damage scaling up when he is at lower health. It then went on to talk about Ardans energy system and his B slot, Blood for Blood. Ardan uses an energy system called Vengeance, it has a yellow bar and recharges over time, and increases with basic attacks, use of his other abilities, and more. Its essentially a cooldown timer that can be decreased through various actions. Vengeance is consumed for Ardans B slot, Blood for Blood, which launches Ardan towards an enemy and delivers a powerful punch that scales with Ardans missing health and weapon power. Blood for Blood can only be used when Ardans vengeance is full and consumes all of his vengeance when used. Then they took a look at Ardans A slot, Vanguard, in which Ardan jumps to a nearby ally and shields them providing a speed boost and a health barrier as well as dealing AoE crystal damage to enemies. Vanguard can be self cast, but its beneficial effects are lessened, and it will not help fill up Ardans vengeance like when used on allies. Finally Ardans ultimate, Gauntlet, creates a large arena wall after Ardan jumps to a nearby location. The wall locks in enemies, but allows allies to enter or exit freely. Enemies who pass through the wall will take heavy crystal damage and be stunned. The force field is destroyed when Ardan leaves. Vanguard and Gauntlet are limited only be cool down. Finally they mentioned that energy bonuses on items are converted to crystal power." Once I hit Fame rank 14 or so, and in "Pretty Good" in rank, I get so little AFKs as to be a non-issue. Get some friends to party with, or keep working till you get higher rank. After you carry the idiots for a few games and rank up, you will find less and less. There are two new heroes coming, but no word on who for sure. Archer, Ardan's twins, and the Queen have all been guessed at... You can resign after 4 minutes of them being AFK, if I remember right. But if they come and go because of spotty connection, or are just being jerks by not moving while connected, then you can resign...
My karma is capped and AFK players are extremely rare now. I do wish there was an Add Foe option, not so much for AFKers or That Guy who tries to solo Kraken, but for the creep stealers, ping spammers, and cowards who run from every fight. Just match those scumbags on the other team so I can murder them. >
I agree! So often it happens that I want to slaughter my allies or let them die but can't because we will lose. Thanks for the Ardan info also, I did see some in a YouTube video so I have a general idea. I wonder how far off he is.
My understanding is that the next update is already submitted to Apple and includes Ardan. I am guessing sometime this week; early next.
I hope so, always fun playing new chsrachters and im usually first in to pick and start but I let everyone else pick unless I really want to try someone. Had a screenshot of a game but the app crashes when I try to post it from my iPad. Showing an example of a terrible team. My allies had 0-3 and 1-5 or something like that and I had 14-1 and we lost because they were pretty much completely useless. Even as meatshields they sucked. I was very lucky I went Taka or id of gotten ganked by 3 of them as they were always together but I kept nipping in for kills and running off to heal and then back again when they were grouped. Generally if my allies are terrible there's nothing much you can do vs 3 enemies together.

Awesome! Wasn't sure when it was coming it wasn't out before I left for work. But thankfully it's nearly the weekend so I'll play the crap out of Ardan. These devs are awesome with being so active with updates and the community. Also I know nobody seems to be but anyone on the EU servers let me know!
I also see Joule got some nice buffs and apparently Skarrf got buffed but also nerfed as they said he was strong early but terrible late game. Some changes to a few items too, so sad to see frostbourne get a nerf down to 15% slow and gain 1% per so much crystal power so won't be as useful for my Krul anymore.
Lost 4 games in a row and EVERY SINGLE TIME there is some noob playing the new hero Ardan in my team. You are free to experience with him all you want but damn it, at least know your role. You are a protector meaning don't use your skill just to farm creep, or be the first one to flee in team fight, or try to solo the Kraken. I swear, it happen every time there is a new hero in Vainglory. So frustrating.
Hahahahaha. Jesus. I can't imagine a worse way to play the role. I play as Catherine and I'm a decent protector. You wouldn't happen to be a USA player, would ya?
I can believe that, I'll get time to try him later but I'm sure I'll be better than that as one of my favourites is Adaigo and I love playing to buff up and protect my allies.
@Piph No unfortunately I play on SEA server @ste86uk It seem like people don't read his role and skill description. They just see a new hero, unlock him then jump in blindly. I still need about 2000 glory to get him but really it is hard to win when one of your teammate doesn't understand what he/she is doing. Guess I should wait for one or two week until the novelty die down a bit.
