I'll admit I don't know all the heroes--but at least I stick with the ones I pretty much know where to go with! Still, everyone has to learn at first, and some people aren't big readers/researchers. And as my Karma has gotten higher I see fewer Guests.

The problem I saw recently is that in EVERY single game, BOTH my teammates would ONLY go to the jungle. Ringo, SAW, Petal, you name it--wouldn't touch the lane. Not just at the start; even 10 minutes later they'd still both be in the jungle swapping the enemy minion mine back and forth, pretty evenly matched by just one enemy jungler. Literally, I played 3-4 almost identical games in a row like that. And I was the player with an actual jungler hero, and had no choice but wade into the lane (my green crosshairs were ignored). I'm kind of proud for actually winning once as Kosha in the lane alone! Albeit against pretty weak opponents.

Well, on the bright side, I feel like I've reached a milestone in the learning curve: I can now tell when someone's doing something stupid!

    Interesting. Text or voice?

I have mixed feelings! On the one hand, more communication means more cooperation. On the other, I like the simplicity (and lack of rage!) in the current "three signal" communications system.

But the current system has never really had a chance to catch on: it has some bug where it triggers random commands (maybe when you exit the Shop?) and so I think people learn to ignore them since they so often make no sense. (But I still try to pay attention when someone calls for a Kraken bid, and I try to remember to OMW when I'm going for a minion mine, so nobody has to waste their time wondering whether I will.)

There is going to be some kind of chat in an update soon. Although the devs are still seeking feedback about a "voice chat" during matches. That leads me to believe that the upcoming chat will probably be lobby-only and text. Or it might turn out to be a Friends PM system.

I am Karma 10 with presumably a good enough ELO (secret score that indicates your skill level). I don't recall being matched with people who take lane heroes into the jungle. However one common problem that does happen is when there are two junglers and one of them decides to ping-bully the other. The victim either gets upset and deserts, or starts laning with their jungle character.

  3. i think they have to got it in soon next version .

There's a twitch stream from the devs on Friday check their site for info, they will be showing the new hero we are getting in actual gameplay and also announcing some news, they also give away ice during the twitch streams.

My karma is at level 14 and I still get guests and morons with me but I guess it depends who's online to chose from to begin with. I'm very flexible now I let my team chose first and then I pick who to go, as I find it easier to win by balancing the team as much as I can.

Lately I've been trying to go adaigo more, I find he is a big influence on battles you can't save a player from being nuked but you can sustain them long term so they don't need to go back to base or anywhere else to heal. Also the fire and stun combo are great, managed to actually kill 3 people in 1 shot with that earlier. Although generally as Adaigo my kill count isn't anywhere near what I get with Krul but still fun to know your helping.

Im rocking Saw and Glaive to great success, especially with Saw. As long as no one in my team feeds too much that i can get one-shot-bursted, if i get in just as soon as the enemy spends skills on my allies, i can kill all 3 in the enemy team.

I hope they nerf SAW though... He's too OP once he gets to 3 crystal attack items.

Saw is so annoying :( i don't know why I always die from him. Like his shots make me run away slow and then he runs up to me and stabs me real fast and then he use this rocket launcher or something and destroys me :(

Yes saw is very powerful I've played him quite a few times too. His final ability is just stupidly strong! But that's what he's built for, it's great against the crystal too. Won a few games sneaking him into an undefined base with no turrets left and slaughtered the crystal. Glaive is great too! About the only hero I don't like playing yet is Petal.

SAW is manageable, just don't try to take him head-on. Wait until he's isolated, down some health, and not spun up, then burst him and stun him.

If he's not vulnerable, just find something else to kill and come back with a friend later. He's a lousy chaser.

It is important to kill him whenever you can, though. Or even just drive him off. Dude farms way too fast.

I feel like the stats system (icons for Kills/Deaths/Kill Assists) isn't that great a measure of how well you're doing. There are games where I've made few kills, but helped the team to victory a lot, and games where an enemy was keeping us down very skillfully without showing a lot of kills. Taking mines for instance.

I think you should get an Assist point in your stats (but no gold of course) simply from sending an enemy home to heal; or maybe just from doing 75% damage or somethingl. It's not a kill, but they're still out of play! And/or too vulnerable to be fully useful. (Plus Assist points aren't always granted even when I've taken the enemy's health down close to death. Must be a time limit or something; but I still always like to injure an enemy when I can, even if a resulting kill 10 seconds later by a teammate is far from certain.)

And I think turret and kraken kills should be counted in your Kills, or at least if you did, say, 25% damage to the turret. Once it's down (since it's a BIG part of victory) you should get a kill point.

Lastly, I think mine captures should count. Maybe they could be lumped in with Assists for simplicity, or else make a 4th stats icon.

And killing a TON of minions should count too. A player who mows down all minions leaving enemy heroes vulnerable is useful! But invisible in the stats icons. Maybe every 50 minions or so should be worth one kill stat point, or something.

Then I think you'd have a better sense of how every player is doing. And hero kills (while vital) wouldn't be emphasized to the point of ignoring all other contributions. (This isn't about racking up "kills" or "points"--I really like that long-term personal stats aren't kept! It's just about knowing what the other players are contributing to a certain match.)

Uh... Why would you want those stats added into kills or assists?

Most MOBAs like LOL and DotA just have detailed stats at the end of the matches so you can see who helped push towers, who dealt most damage, who tanked a lot of damage while not dying too often, who killed the most minions (but this converts to gold and gold gets you stronger, therefore may translate to kills or assists), etc.

You have a point that the stats should be seen as it's pretty rewarding to see how you've contributed to the team's victory, and it isnt just about hero kills.

They wouldn't have to be--they could be a bunch of separate stats. But I really like that in the middle of the game you have just three numbers/icons to look at. So I'm suggesting that keeping three "categories" (or whatever you'd call them) would be more useful than having too many numbers to pore through.

    So, instead of having just:

    - Hero Kills
    - Deaths
    - Hero Kill Assists

You could broaden those numbers to be, say:

    - All Kills (anything major: heroes, turrets, Kraken)
    - Deaths
    - Team Support (kill assists, mine captures, severely weakening a hero, mass minion kills)

(But after the END of the game, as you say, breaking everything down separately would be interesting. It would be nice to still know JUST hero kills--bur more for interest, less for decision-making in-game.)

True, it's nice to look back and see what you did--but I was also thinking about the Scoreboard in-game, and judging rapidly what your allies (and enemies!) are doing on the fly.

What got me thinking was playing a game and thinking a certain teammate was terrific, and noticing that their 3 stats looked pretty poor. (The enemy, seeing that, might have not bothered going after that person very hard—mistake!) I've even won whole matches where all players had worse stats than the enemy.

Anyone know where a list of info from the twitch can be found? Missed all of it, or can they be viewed again anywhere? Would just prefer a rundown though.

Basically they change the big dragon go a baby dragon and renamed him skaarf, he can fly and shoot fireball from his mouth. his first skill is throwing a fireball and it hits whatever target it sees first. second is goop which makes lava under the enemy I believe? and third is a giant flame thrower

I didn't watch long enough to hear about other game play changes/features, except that SAW is being tweaked; for one thing to make crystal builds more worthwhile, and slightly nerf how much his damage accelerates when he's upgraded a lot.

I seen the post here about the abilities and he still has the name the skarrf is just his nickname. I'm looking forward to trying him, I heard joule got chanes the only one I think I heard was that her lightning abilitiy would now auto target.

Saw could do with a bit of a nerf a decked out Saw using his final abilitiy is silly, especially when you do as I did and had 2 items reducing cd by 50% so I could use it every 30 seconds.

It says on their website that they are still in progress localizing the game for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. This surprises me that it takes so long considering how much more potential this game has in those countries especially Korean. MOBA are growing in extreme popularity there.

SAW is getting nerfed? That's bad. For me.

I actually liked how all 4 things about Joule required strategic positioning. The abilities fire in a straight line ahead, so you aim to catch the most number in your line of fire. Also, defensively you never show your back to the enemy. But now ability number 2 is being made auto. I guess players weren't into Joule all that much, hence the change.
