The ipad2 is a huge disappointment for me because it's the same storage capacity than for 1st gen.

But I wonder if it's possible and easy to use 2 ipad with one computer, keeping different app on each?

This in case I bought the ipad2 and then will probably be too lazy to sell the ipad1. At least I would have a sort of 128Gb ipad.

You can install whichever app you want on either of your iPads.

Dude, buy an ipad2 with MobileMe and upgrade dropbox. That will give you all the mobile storage you need.

Thank you, have you tried? I wish someone who tried or who know someone who did it for sure. Can you confirm?

A shopkeeper (not from an Apple Store) told me it was working with iphone+ipad but won't with two ipads. I insisted by highlighting him that in itunes an ipad is identified.

But he insists and affirm the preferences are saved by apple account and device type.

That's why I wish a confirmation otherwise for now I don't care for the ipad2 and would delay a possible buy.

I search for any confirmation of this and didn't found any. The only way I saw was through jailbreaking but I don't want enter in this hassle.

The point is I already removed from the ipad any music and photo nor have any movies. So it's only app and I haven't see any way to manage that with something like mobileme or dropbox.

Perhaps you can quote a link?

Yep. My bro's iPad (and the ipod) both syncs to my own Macbook along with my own iPad and iPod, wife's iPhone.

I have an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 4 syncing from the same machine with the same account. They have different apps on them. It appears to be set by individual device, you could have an iPad 2 and another iPad 2 and they could have different apps.
