Hi there, Have got a promo code to use to review a game however I live in the UK, and when I entered the code into the 'Redeem' section of iTunes it said that I can't use it because I am not in America. I have tried changing the iTunes Store to America. It get's further, but then comes back with a message saying that the internet connection failed. I know I am not the only brit here and thought there must be some way round this problem. Any tips and advice would be very helpful. Mad
I can't help with the connection failing, but yes... you need an American account to redeem promo codes. Once you get the store to work properly just create one using a random US address and off you go.
Just look on wikipedia for postcodes in USA. Then set up a new account in US. This worked fine for me, good luck
Thanks for the help, I have tried creating a new account, and get to the credit card stage. There isn't a 'None' option.
I got it to work! Thanks for your help. I had to retry several times before the 'None' option came up. Weird. But it's all fine now .
For future reference; buy a free app and create a new account when the sign in pop up appears and the none option will be there.
