The reason God of War 3 is only going to be released for the PS3 is because it was developed and published by Sony.
With MW2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, and Fallout 3 being dropped liberally into my hands, seriously? Do I wanna play Doodle Jump right now? No.
I'm feeling that the whole basis of this argument is that you're a bit of a 360 fanboy. I have both consoles, I have over 50 games on each console. The differences between multi-platform games are generally minimal, meaning no matter which version you get, you're hardly going to be suffering. Add to that the fact most of my friends are on PS3, I don't have to pay to play online, the controllers are easier to charge (no I'm not gonna spend more on a Play & Charge kit) and I find the 360 controller slightly more childish (and screw that d-pad, seriously)... there's no reason why I should play 360 more than my iPod Touch. I've got the PS3 to fill that position. Occasionally there's a good Live Arcade game I'll play, or an exclusive like Forza or Gears, but other than that it's hardly a necessity. Did I mention I'm on my third 360? I don't think we really need to go into how annoying that "feature" is the console is. Oh, and DS has Bangai-O & Castlevania. That already puts it ahead of the Wii.
I'm kinda into casual game play (less frustration etc) so I got my house a Wii. The Wii is trashed to my store since I got my iDevice. OTG beats everything. Console is only good if you like to stay home and be a little anti social haha!
*raises hand* Seriously though, I don't go out much at all (post count can vouch for that), but there are always people in my house so I'm not that anti-social. With a PC, laptop, 360, PS3, Wii, DS, Xbox (original) and iPod Touch in my room we can all sit about being total nerds and play games at the same time Plus the mandatory beer and pizza.
Cuz I totally go to a friends house and say, "hey dude, you wanna play Tap Fu with me on two separate devices?"
While I'm at home, hell no I'm playing with my iTouch... But it's kind of hard to bring a TV and console to school
The only reasons you guys use iDevices more is because it's your personal MP3 player too. Like seriously. Plus, it's portable, so it's always with you, especially if you have an iPhone.
All of you who say Wii sucks have NO idea what your talking about. Sure its not as powerful as the other two systems, and its kind of lacking in RPGs, but it's still got good games, ones that definitely are NOT childish. I own a Wii and a DS, and i love them both, although i admit i play my DS more. I never owned an Xbox in my life, as it's mostly only good for FPS games and I'm not a fan of those. I WOULD have a PS3, but Sony clearly does not want my money, since they ask insane prices for it and it cant play any of my PS2 games...
