Unfortunately, its not something I can see myself playing as things are currently. Here is an album of screenshots I made for another forum last night; I only played the first few minutes so spoilers should be minimal. Do note that though the screenshots are in order, they largely do not directly follow each other, so the ones of the conversation are not an accurate representation of the flow of the conversation itself. Theyre just taken fairly randomly to showcase the quality of individual lines (whether that quality be decent or bad). From that Im sure you can see that, though its definitely not constantly incomprehensible or machine translated as I feared, even at best the lines are very stilted. Errors appear to be common, both in terms of typos and lines where the meaning is unclear. Thats enough to put me off playing any VN, but in the case of a mystery like this, unclear meaning can be particularly troublesome as it could harm the ability to understand characters actions and motivations accurately. Additonally, for some reason the menu/tutorial text is worse than the ingame text; I wonder if that was translated separately? We totally agree that current translation make you annoyed. Fortunately, we can make ‘update’, which is not so easy at Play Station. We will try hard to make quality improvement, and we are seriously taking user suggestions. There are a lot of ‘hidden treasures’ with fun and potential, and without English support, out there. As ‘Urban Legend Shin Hayarigami’ as our first step, we like to bring more hidden games to Western users. Yet, there are many things required for better quality. This is a game that has received better attention due to its mobile version launch. So, when this was a soft launch, the user ratings for the mobile version were mostly positive. Now if the English version is successful, the follow - up series may continue. It is a price that is not much burdened compared to the playtime, and it will be fun to enjoy this genre.
