The update all button in app store is back in firmware 2.2!!!!!!!! Go crazy!!!!
Wow, haven't gotten home to flash the firmware yet. Sounds pretty good i guess!
some of the stuff
-by clicking the home screen on any home screen you are returned to the first home screen
-Download podcasts directly from the itunes app
-Disable word correction
-Safari works better
-... more stuff i dont remember
People know this. No one has announced update all. I just sent it as tip to toucharcade.
I'm in the US and it says on the appstore (both on ipod touch and on my laptop) that it cannot connect to the appstore to update!
Anyone else have the same problem?!
I already have updated my ipod touch to 2.2 firmware
Yeah I made a thread. iTunes support said it's a bug from them, should be fixed in 24 hours or sooner. My update just began to work.
Help!! Safari is now uglier!!
Everything is great in 2.2 though, it's all faster and more stable. I've tried opening and closing most heavy games without restarting first and they all work flawlessly. The menu, Apple apps (contacts), Safari and its keyboard are all faster.
could not be updated
It says ipod could not be updated unknown error ocurred (16...)
ipod doesn't work anymore, a screen with the calbe and the ituns logo appears. I have tried rebooting it
Does iTunes recognize your iPod? If so you can try Restore button.
computer in general does not recognize it
if you were not jailbroken take it to the apple store get a new one
That's it? isn't there any other way?
its not jailbroken.
I will check if it works later or tomorrow if not I'll have to do that.
If anybody knows Helps is really really appreciated
if your ipod is showing the plug in to itunes sign, try going into safe mode or dfu mode. thats pretty much it
if you do update all on the iphone.. isnt it going to delete the app then install the new version... if so, then the arrangement of my 7 page app is gon get farked right...
how do I do that? Thanks
you dont have to send it back
just follow these steps:
1. Turn the iPhone ON
2. CONNECT it to the dock
3. Make sure iTunes is open so you'll know when it enters DFU mode
4. HOLD the Power/Sleep-Wake button AND the Home button for 10 seconds
5. RELEASE only the Power/Sleep-Wake button and continue to hold the Home button
6. WAIT until iTunes recognizes the phone in DFU Restore mode (in Windows a bubble pops up saying it recognized new hardware "DFU Mode" or something to that effect)
The last step may take SOME TIME, like, say, even 60 seconds or so. The screen should be OFF (black), if you see the "Connect to iTunes" logo, START OVER. It may take a few tries to do the steps just right, just reboot (hold both Power/Sleep-Wake AND Home until the Apple logo appears and the phone turns back on) then try again.
works for ipod touch to
oh and because it was corrupted...you will have to re - add everything like your music and apps
