Adventure Beaks is good and free, no reason not to play it Never got Arc Squadron since it was released when I had the iPhone 4 and didn't look that good so waited, and forgot it.
I finished it once during beta so I think its still the same in this version, and its very generous. IAP is for cosmetics only, but you earn currency really fast. The platforming and the different moves reminds me of Wind-up Knight but with a 2014 feel. Is awesome.
If you think Adventure Beaks is 'good' then i'm stunned you didnt think ARC Squadron was ! Its a brilliant Rogue Squadron type homage, well worth picking up
I just forgot ARC Squadron entirely since I had the iPhone 4 and was going to wait until an upgrade... Today I will solve that but with Star Horizon
Then you are out of luck this week... I guess (doesnt hurt trying new stuff), but next week you have a point and click adventure called Tiny Space Adventures that is very good.
Fair enough. Yeah it seems a quiet week, hopefully we'll get some more releases throughout the day. This year theres been a few games here and there for me, whereas last year i was getting 5-7 games every week. Hope its not the case but it just seems more quiet this year
We may be getting fewer games but the quality has not go down one bit... so far 2014 has given some pretty good games, looking amazing so far: Castle Doombad Bardbarian Mines of Mars Out There Wave Wave Adventure Beaks Roll Back Home Bug Heroes 2 Glorkian Warrior Hoplite Toast Time Microtrip Threes Dudeski TriBlaster and many more... And a game even resurrected: Miss Claire Garden And it doesnt seem to end with upcoming games with lots of quality... Unpossible Monument Valley Darkin But I guess that down to taste and preconceptions. Widen up, there are many great genres and gems to get discovered.
Widen up ? I buy tons of apps, have over 600 on my device and normally spend $30 a month at least on apps ! Over the last few years i've bought plenty of apps, i'm just finding this year (so far) theres less than previous. I've got tons of folders of different types of games and have a wide taste in apps, just finding this year quieter than others. I mean last night i bought two games, previous weeks i used to buy 7 or 8
April could see the release of FTL, Monument Valley, Framed and Hearthstone. What an insane month ahead of us! Oh and this year has been really great thus far. I'm just sad that we won't have another Simogo game soon...
I have to say it's been the same for me as well... I spend probably what you spend in a month every week on the App Store normally, but lately, at least up until now, it's just been a really slow year I find. Further, nothing has been as memorable for me thus far. Then again, it's only been three months into the year so for that amount of time we have had a good amount of truly quality releases. I think it just hasn't been spread as evenly over the three months. There seemed weeks that released paltry games and then like maybe two near back to back weeks that we had a deluge of awesome games release at the same time. All of my must buy games seemed to have released in clusters with other must buy games, so there hasn't been as much a spread to evenly release the love. Just my opinion...
Tiny Space Adventure, a point & click adventure mixed with some Super Meat Boy is coming this wednesday: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Not a game though, but Moga announced they will unveil a new MFI controller at GDC. No news about that whatsoever. Did they forget to bring the powerpoint presentation on a USB stick, or did they even attend this years GDC?
Can only see three game will be released this wednesday night, hope someone can post other known games there, thx
