Its funny as i found Angry Birds totally overhyped and a bit average, but add a Star Wars theme to it and i must admit i'm a convert ! Same for Infinity Blade, heard so much about it, bought the first game but despite looking stunning i just found the gameplay pretty 'meh'. I'm all about gameplay and not glossy graphics. I cant believe Apple havent announced any 128 gig devices, with more powerful devices coming out games will be larger in size, they need to have larger devices.
Hmmmm does look good but the second i dont see a left button i start to panic ! Love platformers, not keen on runners. Does look good though
Yeah just saw the video posted on the game's upcoming thread. Really like Moffee's art style. Pretty amped on the game too.
Same story here. Even though im not a fan of AB series, i ALWAYS just auto-buy them, play them a few stages, then it hits my virtual storage box, never to be opened again. Then the Star Wars spinoff happened... Played it a few minutes, a couple hours, a few days, then a couple weeks. First time i fell in love with these birdies.
I can confirm Oberon's Court is on track for a december 2013 release. Here's the forum thread, I am the developer as well, so that's the official launch date target I guess. [thread]202754[/thread]
Of course with Infinity Blade III and ABSW II in the wings, little else will be getting much attention this week. But I read that an interesting looking ball roller/platformer called Orborun may be coming this week on iOS and Android. Hasn't been a decent ball roller in a while. Trailer
Here's something exciting: Machines at War 3, a real-time strategy game http://pockettactics.com/2013/09/17/file-under-better-late-than-never-machines-at-war-3-out-for-ios-in-october/#more-12901
And someone should perhaps keep track on this: Riddick, the merc-files. This one is a stealth based game. It has a cool artistic look about it and you actually have to carry away the enemy bodies in order to not alert any other enemies. But there's no release date, perhaps someone should add it to the relevant upcoming games subforum. http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/Riddick%3A+The+Merc+Files/news.asp?c=53821
Hopefully Shadowrun Returns will be released this week, because it has been nearly two weeks since it was submitted to Apple. (except Apple is way too busy with the exciting and revolutionary release of IOS7 and Iphones or they are trying to help out their friend and reduce competiton to Infinity Blade III)
Although we may want it, I don't think Shadowrun Returns poses much of a threat to IB III. In fact, if it's delayed it may help out the SR devs to not have completion from Infinity Blade.
I don't think that Shadowrun poses any threat to IB3. I'd say the same the other way around. Some people may have to trim the AppStore budget to get IB3 at launch. I'm going to go out on a limb and say most of us that want Shadowrun won't be deterred by the launch of IB3 though. The hard part will be finding time to play them both.
Just want to inform that Zombie Minefield (see my sig.) was out on last week Friday 13th. Thanks everyone.
Orborun should be out today Edit: sorry, TheFrost already posted this. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
