Just to pick you up on a minor thing: it was only 10:25pm in NZ when you posted that, not 12:25am (game releases hit the app store at 10pm this time of year, not midnight). You're right that this week has been pretty quiet in terms of the usual release day announcements thus far, so I guess we'll have to wait and see if that changes. Given the mad rush of the past couple of weeks, though, I think everybody should already have more than enough games to be getting on with.
Ahh okay i'm confused. Every other week new games appear at 11am GMT as thats when its midnight in NZ ? Weird didnt realise it was 10pm now not midnight. All good, means they appear sooner !
It's actually at 10 pm. DST changes swing it 10pm-midnight. I'm on holiday at the moment and cant devote the usual time to the releases, but I will have time later on to check my secondary (weaker) method and you might see a few threads pop up. Sanuku would post something if he had news, so I'm not expecting much anyway.
100% Limbo for me. Might be a quiet release week with not so many games but this game alone makes my week
Yes YES YESSSSS! Finally a silent week with just a few releases! A welcome break before the July 4th-sales and the next two weeks, which might be filled with a ton of games again! Be happy, be glad - clean up your backlog!
A very good point ! We're so spoilt with new games but with this 'gap' it allows me to play some of the games i've bought the last few weeks. I'm turning into an 'app dipper'. Eg i just tend to play each game for a bit and move onto another to have a quick go. Need to play some of these games much more, think i will with Limbo for sure
Limbo is shorter than i expected (40% into the game in less than 40 minutes of gameplay), but it is the best game ive played since Spiral and XCOM (whenever the release date was) and i believe Limbo's a strong candidate for GotY for me. And im also in the process of clearing out my huge backlog. At least i know which ones i want to finish and which ones i have to delete. LOL. Right now, i gotta finish Jacob Jones Ep1, Jim & Frank, and Layton Bros so i can delete them whence done. Im a little scared i might have to do Jacob Jones when Ep2 comes though, so i hope they are stand-alones so i can play the game chapter by chapter without keeping everything on my ithings.
Looks like it'll be non-standard games for me this week: the new Walking Dead episode will be available for PC in a couple of hours, and DoW are hoping to get the beta of Small World 2 out to their handful of testers by the end of the week.
Well the great news is i'm only a few episodes into the Walking Dead, i want to finish that (one of the few games i play on my ipad) so i'll move onto that soon. Also want to play more of the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, i'm also behind on podcasts i follow and several graphic novels. Too little time !
The "big" Prince of Persia news hinted at on Facebook is indeed the release date of Pop: The Shadow and the Flame. It will hit the appstore on July 25.
With other devs having 4th of July sales, I'm kind of shocked that EA and Gameloft haven't started anything yet. Maybe they're trying to break out of the holiday sales game since most people know by now that games from both companies tend to be on sale for $.99 several times a year (sorry that hasn't been the case for Eternal Legacy HD. ).
Yep... for EL, im not really in the mood for buying it at full price as im buying it for collection purposes. I already played and finished it on the 4S, and i currently dont have intentions of playing it on the bigger screen. I just want it for my collection As for EL itself, it's a pretty decent game. Not as good as say, Chaos Rings, but still a decent RPG.
