Man that must have been one heck of a game breaking bug. Looks like a simple spray of insect repellant wasn’t enough.
While the bug may have been fixed pretty quick he prob had to get all of his marketing / promos in line for a new launch date. If he was getting featured by apple sometimes they want a month or more advance on release date to fit you into their promotions.
Thanks for the info Touchmint. I never thought about what is no doubt a vital consideration for an indie developer. Would have been nice to hear a quick update from the dev though. These sort of old school dungeon crawlers are far and few these days, and I am so looking forward to this one. (Please let there be an iPad version).
Special flavour of development hell, I'm guessing! Launch site is still optimistic about 'early Feb,' and even adds '2019.' Which leads me to think there must be all kinds of agony going on somewhere.
I hate to bump this thread and inadvertently get everyone’s hopes up who might be watching the thread, however I’m desperate for any news! I’ve checked everywhere this game is discussed and I know Eric isn’t prolific with social media info but I’m getting really worried that there is literally no snippet of new info since 18th dec. The website still says early Feb release. Sorry for the bump but does anyone know anything since 18th Dec? I guess this has been in development for 5+ years so a few more months don’t matter. Would be nice to know roughly how long we might have to wait if course.

Anybody know any news about this? I hesitate to outright ask Eric on Twitter because I imagine he is sick of people nagging him. (Sorry if bumping the thread gets people’s hopes up - would be interesting to know if people are still excited for this though).
Yeah, well, from the many responses you received you gather that Eric squandered what was left of the excitement by not saying anything substantial about his progress or a possible release date for several months now. Typically it takes developers quite some time before they finally admit that a project has failed. The sooner he owns up to that, the sooner he can move on.

I so excited for this one. I wish I could play QuestLord again and again, but not with my iPhone X. For some reason, I have a hard time getting into The Quest, Blades, and even the daunting Skyrim on my Switch. But QuestLord was one I could easily sit and enjoy. Multiple times! I sure hope he is still working on it. The first is easily one of my favorite mobile RPGs. I hope it gets resurrected someday.
