Agreed. I enjoyed PL but the novelty completely wore off. I do not enjoy playing casual games. Let alone casual "MMOs" However, I can definitely see IMO being more appealing to hardcore gamers and past MMO players. I mean I heard it was pretty big in Korea when it came out. But that particular country is known for gold farming and producing MMOs with a ridiculous amount of grind. Hopefully, the grind won't be too unreasonable on IMO. In that same respect, I don't want to be given levels a la PL. IMO is going to have an easier time grabbing and holding players because they've went through all of this before. Except now they're in different markets. I, for one, will probably buy color changing text and equipment among other frivolous things. Only if they are permanent additions rather than a 30 day or 15 day item. Not trying to bash on PL but the gameplay seems a little one-dimensional. For example, all the mobs react to you in pretty much the same way.
Exactly. It's as if they didn't spend much time on the AI and only spent time on making new dungeons that only look different. Also, it should be easier to level in the release version than it is in the beta version. Hopefully it won't be dramatically easier but just slightly enough so more people can take the torture.
We don't have to. IMO is your normal MMO. Team up with some guild mates, someone random, or your friends at any time as long as they are on. What did you expect?
To be honest I don't know I am a newb at mmo's I am only expirenced in regular RPGs and fps games ... What I was I mean is does a guild benifit me? And can I do with the guild?
Ahh well you're in for a ride if Com2uS can pull this off successfully. MMOs like IMO are games where you are put into a virtual world where limitless players can play together at one time. Fear not as MMOs usually have huge and many maps. So basically in a MMORPG, you can either go solo and beat up monsters yourself or go with your friends or just random people. Or if you feel lazy, you can just sit back somewhere in town and just chat with people, or you can explore the maps in the game. Beware if you explore however. You may find yourself in a pvp (Player vs Player) map where players can fight other players. You also need to watch out for high-level monsters. There are limitless things you can do in a MMO but for now, you can just find the rest out yourself once IMO comes out. Edit for your edit: Well with guilds, you can kill other players with them in a group either for fun or just to get to the other maps. They are considered to be your friends to fight and level up with. Really though I don't know how the guilds will work exactly in this game so we'll have to find out.
Just until ChocoVanilla gets on. He usually gets on at night in my time zone. So maybe in a couple of hours. Also, read the 1st post on the 1st page of this thread and watch the video with it. It should give you all the info you need for now.
It was good. One of the many things I enjoyed. In another completely not so random side-note: What 'appened to the beta guild we was gonna make?
I've heard there was too many people beta-testing the game (well over the maximum 40). So I'm guessing no one bothered.
Someone could still make a beta guild or 2 for them. It's just the matter of gathering them together.
Wow only 40 people in a guild I hope they up this number to 100. Also does IMO have a diffrent name in Korea? Is so what is it?
Well Sweet Factory's going for Lanos's side. Perhaps we'll make a guild called Sour Factory for Sirus's side.
